I can easily understand a large swath of the country’s voters never voting for him. What you guys can’t see is the simmering discontent in an equally large group of voters on issues like ‘asylum’ seekers overwhelming municipalities. On those gender type issues you think don’t ‘affect’ you. On reparations. On school issues. On taxes. On racial issues. On etc….
They will vote for him over Biden or Harris or Newsom. There are enough of them in the swing states to give him an electoral college win. (If it wasn’t for poison Trump)

I don't think some of those wedge issues are really big enough to make a difference. Short of shooting people at the border, I see no real way to settle that without congress acting to make any illegal immigrant problem solution please the right. However, if I want to spin it, all these "massive crowds" must mean Biden is doing a great job in the US compared to elsewhere as we're such an attractive relocation. So there!

And I mean, you can whip up fever for the non-starter idea of reparations among the delusional maybe. (someone here buys every rightwing conspiracy known, and some no one's heard of) But I hope that's not a major factor.

I think if Ron runs on issues he can't really do anything about or shouldn't then he's going to be called out. What's he going to do about BLM on a national scale even if he wants to point out something he doesn't like. iI he going further weaponize the federal government to fight crime. That will be a reversal on the current status of hating the FBI or the FEDs. He can pretend he is going to do something about local crime in these cities in the news. That's not his domain, and he will get called out about what exactly he is going to do. He's going to get bashed on Disney over and over. That makes him look bad on business.

Anyway, I'm the one on the left whose been worried about Biden's health right from day one. Will he make it? Well he remain fit enough? Or as some on the right believe, will they no longer be able to hide that he already died and they're pushing him around like "Weekend at Bernies">

He still wears his high heels in public.

Pretty sure it’d be illegal for him to wear those in Tennessee now.

Yeah, he's a short big-titted SOB, no question about it.

Fit to govern?

Honestly surprised it’s taken Donny this long to talk about it:

That's a hell of an unassailable policy proposal; that will be tough to come back from for DeSantis.

I really don’t care what side of the aisle is forced into political transparency. I’m all for it either way.

Despite Gov. Ron DeSantis enacting legislation to block his flight information from the public, one University of Central Florida student is determined to uncover it.
Jack Sweeney, who has made headlines before for tracking Elon Musk’s jet on Twitter, is now doing the same with the Florida governor.

The account 'DeSantisJet' has exploded, their first tweet showing a trip from Tallahassee to Tampa on May 19. DeSantis has not publically commented on Sweeney or the account as of yet.

What now, you say?

Numerous police officers lured to new jobs in Florida with cash from Governor Ron DeSantis’s flagship law enforcement relocation program have histories of excessive violence or have been arrested for crimes including kidnapping and murder since signing up, a study of state documents has found.

DeSantis, who is expected to launch his campaign for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination this week, has spent more than $13.5m to date on the recruitment bonus program, which he touted in 2021 as an incentive to officers in other states frustrated by Covid-19 vaccination mandates.

“This will go a long way to ensuring we can have the best and the brightest filling our law enforcement ranks,” Florida’s Republican attorney general, Ashley Moody, said in April last year as DeSantis announced one-time $5,000 bonuses for new recruits.

However, among the almost 600 officers who moved to Florida and received the bonus – or were recruited in state – are a sizable number who either arrived with a range of complaints against them, or have since accrued criminal charges, the online media outlet Daily Dot has discovered.

In a major electoral upset on Tuesday, voters in Jacksonville elected their first female mayor, defeating a Republican backed by business leaders and endorsed by Ron DeSantis, the state governor and prospective presidential candidate.

Jacksonville is the most populous Florida city, with about 950,000 residents. Donna Deegan, a Democrat, earned 52% of the vote, beating Daniel Davis. About 217,000 people voted, a turnout of 33%.

Ron’s coattails are bit too slippery I guess.

Most of Florida’s Republican congressional delegation have already endorsed Trump over DeSantis.
