I disagree. I think most actually believe that their ideas are good for the country. In most cases they are just wrong. But most are not hypocritical. They want the country to be better for the homeless (free or subsidized housing), the uneducated (higher minimum wage), the criminals (cashless bail)the drug addicted ( free needles), minorities (affirmative action), transgendered (access to women’s sports for XY). You are just left out if you happen to work hard and want to enjoy the fruits of your labors….

Trump and MAGA did the most to damage the democratic system.
=pressing for votes in Georgia.
=Pressing Mike Pence to do something unconstitutional.
=we have a number of fake electors indicted in Nevada. Georgia and Arizona..
=Then we get to Jan 6, and regardless of what anyone thinks of Trump responsibility, it certainly wouldn't have happened if he hadn't kept insisting and still does that the election was stolen, which went WAY beyond, both the legitimate recounts and court cases which is the normal process.
=Oh, And the personal attacks on election workers helped damage some of their lives as well. I think officials with high profiles expect that kind of thing, but that's f***ing inexcusable for low level workers.

...and I actually think the proper process of calling for recounts, and court challenges is great, but Trump has even cast a pall over that process.
