Uncle Joe put her in charge of the immigration problem and to date I hear ... nothing.

What the hell has she been doing about it?

I agree with that as long as subsidies for them are limited but that is the problem. In general, we are a compassionate country and we won't let people starve or go without medical care which are subsidies. I would be fine with it if we could find some way to say you are not eligible for subsidies for X amount of time. I just don't think there is a practical way to do that.

The couple of million that have come here recently don’t seem to be filling the jobs since the number seems to stay at 10-11 million.

Illegals do work but they usually have a hard time working at legitimate jobs…that means they end up working under the table for half the money. Maybe not all, but some for sure…

Too many American citizens are finding ways to not work, which is fine if they have their own money, but we should not subsidize those who could, but won’t, get a real job

The administration thinks catching hundreds of gangbangers and 50 or so watchlisters is good…the problem is that they have no idea what is getting in that they never see or talk to at all.

Shut the border down. Fix immigration…lock the House and Senate in and make them work it out. Make everyone coming in follow the law. Expedite asylum seekers and deport those who do not get it. Shut down any business that knowingly uses illegal labor and pays them less than their other workers; fine those that use illegal labor and pay them right: Have the VP actually work on “root causes”….knowing that one “root cause” is an open border.

The problem has gone unresolved for too long. This President is just ignoring it; it does go beyond him but he could do something.

Shame the last president failed so miserably at fixing the border “crisis.”

And to think, some idiots actually thought a wall would work! 😂

End "catch and release:" if caught sneaking in, summarily kick them out after finger printing; if caught again, put in jail for 30 days, then 90 etc.

Make sneaking in a felony.

Instead of prisons the jails would be work farms in California.

I do think it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have people do work when it’s clear they will not meet immigration requirements so they have to pay for for their ticket back, before they leave. Unless they want to walk back over.

Otoh, just being inside our border as an illegal is a victimless crime. And it should be treated as such,

Until the individual piles on more illegal acts, it is anyway.

A lot of illegal immigrants
sneak in because they are seeking refuge from their troubled countries such as a Ukrainian or a Russian. I wouldn't want to punish an illegal immigrant who is just looking for refuge.

Biden pledged to open the borders and he won by six million votes. Kept that pledge his first day in office.

The American majority obviously wants open borders.

Besides, trying to control illegal immigration is like trying to stop the wind with a chain link fence.
