Ukraine conflict

I am starting to think that Russia is really trying to start a conflict with another country so that they have an excuse to lose the war. At this point they have no chance of defeating Ukraine and it will be a horrible outcome for Putin. If another country gets involved it will be easier to explain the loss.

That is actually a decent theory. With Putin you never know... He may want escalation so he has an excuse to retreat.

August will be a terrible month for Russia. It appears India won't be buying much Russian oil going forward. Russia is going to crash by the end of this year.

They’ve really been pouring on the offensive lately. It could even be an attempt to appear to be stronger than they are as a last ditch effort. Propaganda is just a tool of war for all sides. Not always clear what is actually true.

Reminds me.. with all the strikes on Iran over their nuclear facilities over the years, I find it hard to believe no one might have come to the conclusion even with that deep site, they still needed other tricks up their sleeve. If they didn’t figure that out before this, they should know it now.

I doubt that anything significant can be dug without satellites seeing it.

On June 1, 2025, Ukraine implemented Operation Spiderweb, a covert drone attack deep inside Russia. The coordinated strikes targeted the Russian Air Force's Long-Range Aviation assets at five air bases—Belaya, Dyagilevo, Ivanovo Severny, Olenya, and Ukrainka—using drones concealed in and launched from trucks on Russian territory. Multiple military aircraft were hit, and 10 were confirmed destroyed. Nobody, not even the US, has been able to destroy Soviet or Russian military aircraft inside Russia, much less strategic bombers that would be used against Western or US targets in the event of war and certainly not deep inside Russian territory.

Today Ukraine announced Ukraine says it stole intel from the Russian Navy and found weak points in its newest nuclear missile submarine, including a list of the submarine's crew, including information about positions, fitness levels, and combat instructions, as well as data regarding the boat's layout, such as diagrams of its survivability systems, crew regulations, instructions for transferring wounded sailors and cargo, engineering documents, towing procedures, and details about the submarine's schedule.

Ukraine is doing the Lord's work. A bunch of people in Ukraine deserve a medal from the US, and we should send Ukraine a billion or two dollars as a reward and thank you.

I don't know if anyone is still following this war, but Ukraine has been crushing Russia over the past few weeks.

There is real reason to believe that Russia may have to shut this down this year or Putin may be eliminated.

Russia just pinched through Ukraine's defensive line in the Donetsk.
