Gotta wonder if most of the young Russian men are a bunch of drunken louts as are their parents and grand parents?

More recent "accidents".

Quote:
Andrey Badalov, a 62-year-old petroleum magnate, plummeted from a luxury penthouse building, with authorities ruling his death a suicide.

Roman Starovoit, 53, Putin's transport minister, was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds earlier this month, his death officially ruled as suicide.

Marina Yankina, 58, a high-ranking finance official at Russia's Ministry of Defense, tragically fell from the 16th floor of an apartment complex in St Petersburg.

If I were a high ranking official, I would assume my dwelling was bugged.

I just learned recently that when they say fell from a window it is not literal. It is just a euphemism for a suspicious death.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Just dropping this as a general military observation

China's 'Unsinkable' Fujian Aircraft Carrier

How is anything unsinkable? How would they stop a torpedo capable of coming straight up from hundreds of feet under a ship which seems technically possible these days?

I don't know, maybe it's not that hard to do.

Who told you that?
Was the 160 feet a euphemism too?

You seem to be forgetting about the Titanic. It was also unsinkable.

Obviously, I don't know about all of them, but that phrase is used generically now.

Did you know there is a verb to describe the action of tossing something/someone out of a window?

To 'defenestrate'

Multiple powerful russians have been literally defenestrated.

Known high‑profile “defenestration” cases
Key documented incidents (2007–2025)

Ivan Safronov, investigative journalist (2007) — fell to his death from a fifth-floor window; officially ruled a suicide, though colleagues disputed the narrative

Nikolai Gorokhov, Magnitsky lawyer (survived fall, 2017) — fell from a fourth-floor balcony while installing a bathtub, later called it no accident

Post‑Ukraine war cluster (2022–2025)
A surge of suspicious falls involving prominent figures:

Dan Rapoport — found dead in Washington, D.C., after falling from a building (Aug 2022)

Ravil Maganov, Lukoil chairman (Sept 1, 2022) — hospital window fall after criticizing war efforts

Grigory Kochenov, IT executive (Dec 2022, Nizhny Novgorod) — fell from balcony during police search

Pavel Antov, banker and politician (Dec 2022, India) — fell from hotel window abroad

Marina Yankina, Defence Ministry finance head (Feb 2023) — fell 16 floors in St. Petersburg

Kristina Baikova, Loko‑bank vice president (June 2023) — fell from 11th floor after argument in Moscow

Artem Bartenev, federal judge in Kazan (June 2023) — fell from 12th floor early in morning, circumstances unclear

Vladimir Shklyarov, ballet dancer (Nov 2024) — fell from fifth-floor balcony while on painkillers; authorities called it accident

Buvaisar Saitiev, former MP and wrestling champion (Feb 2025) — found after fall from apartment window (later died in hospital)

Artur Priakhin, antimonopoly chief (Feb 2025) — discovered outside his office following fall; reported as apparent suicide

Andrei Badalov, Transneft VP (July 2025) — fell from high‑rise in Moscow suburb; reported suicide, but part of broader pattern

📊 Summary of reported incidents
Period Approx. Number of High‑Profile Falls
2007 to 2021 ~2–3 major cases
2022 to mid‑2025 ~8–10 documented high‑profile falls
Total (2007–2025) ~10–13 notable defenestration events (most suspicious)
