Just because they didn't try to steal or destroy anything doesn't mean they're not burglars.

Actually, I don't disagree. But anyone and anything deserves exactly what they deserve, not something made up to be more than it was.

But let's not forget that those "crackers" (good word) are American citizens.

I can understand how they do not agree with much of the changes that have occurred and which progressives want to occur.

I agree with them on many points, disagree on others; but I would never storm the Capitol in order to stop a lawful election.

In the end it is an argument about change.

Anyone on the left or right who endorses destroying the lawful process we have by force has a very bad case of chicken-littlism.

And I'd be happy to contrast and compare their complaints in each grievance area to things going on in other countries. Though anyone with half a brain should be able to do that on their own without my help.

That doesn't mean we can't always improve in different areas.

Karl Rove said it best in the WSJ

They did try to violently overturn an election and its sad to see many on the right like Odious softpedal this.

I watched fox News that day. The coverage was absurd. They were showing people walking away from the capitol saying the story was not the attack but that so many just left the rally without attacking. Sad

The attack is the news. If some did not attack, they are not newsworthy. That's how news works.

No doubt Trump was watching MSM. He doesn't want to see peaceful protectors, he wants to see violence
