Walked on sacred ground today. Deep in the heart of Mississippi where it all started.

Just discovered Pandora app for music
I have pretty eclectic tastes when it comes to music
I generally listen to my own massive collection
Been doing the Mississippi Blues trail
210 markers all over the state
Puts me into a mood to listen to the blues
Checked out Pandora
Was blown away
Not only do they have multiple blues channels
They had one I particularly wanted and found
Mississippi Delta Blues station
Also listening to the Jimmie Rodgers station
I love roots music

Are you doing Memphis next to continue the delta blues theme?

Fascinating story
Kind of sucked at guitar. Disappeared for a year and comes back around with the best guitar chops anybody has ever heard. The legend is that he played his guitar at the crossroads at midnight, the devil appeared and tuned his guitar.
Only 2 known photos and 29 songs recorded that influenced the likes of Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton and the Allman Brothers among others.
The 27 club
Robert Johnson, Jim Morrison, Pigpen, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix ect

I'm doing as many Blues markers as possible
Already visited about 40 markers.
Some in sketchy areas I would not want to visit at night
Seen all the markers along the coast and in Jackson, Meridian and Vicksburg areas.
Should be moving to the Memphis area in a few days
Loving the Mississippi Blues trail

How many times have we seen that story symbolized in movies with a lone musician at the intersection of two country roads?

Edit: responded to the wrong post, by you know what I’m referring to.

When you do make it to Memphis, I recommend everyone try Gus's Fried Chicken. If you like fried chicken I think it is incredible. It is kind of a dump, but worth the journey. It is only about 5 minutes from Beale Street.

I had it last time I was in Memphis
I joked with them
I said look at my lisc plate, drove from Florida for some Gus's

Chicken I eat are the whole cooked chicken every grocery store now sells. Bargain. After chicken for dinner, tear it apart for all the meat to make chicken salad sandwiches or quesadillas
