Pain can be really hard to track the cause of. I got pain releif from a simple change, but it took me a long time to figure it out. Nearly two years.

Indeed.

My story:

Developed sciatica with pain radiating down the left leg primarily.

At times the pain was truly debilitating.

Went to the doctor; they did various tests and said the problem was that the nerve exiting through my lower spine was being pressed upon by the narrowed hole / canal it passes through while leaving the vertebrae.

Gave me a few shots of steroids in the spine: no relief, so they wanted to do surgery next to scrape away the unwanted growth in the canal to hopefully end the compression on the nerve.

The prospect of surgery scared the hell out of me, having heard horror stories.

As it happens I believe I stumbled upon the solution inadvertently.

For many years I'd attended regular yoga classes, and many of the movements involved bending my body to the side, and holding it.

I stopped yoga due to pain after the steroids and after surgery was recommended, and after about six weeks the pain eased and finally went away.

This was maybe five or so years ago, and since then it has not returned: only occasional minor flare ups.

My conclusion, not confirmed by a medical professional, is that I was inducing the problem by bending sideways and then holding that position as that would cause the nerve to be pressed against the canal it was exiting, which led to inflammation / pain.

When the side bending stopped the problem went away.

Another approach I’d suggest is try googling every possible angle. You may stumble across a solution.

Make sure you’ve got the best description of your pain. Go through as much as you can think of .

Is it …
Left side
Right side
Does it stop when you bend over or get worse.
Is it only in the morning, evening, all day.
what things were you doing when it starts.
Does it wake you up?
…and more

Once you’re sure of your description
Start googling
- does wearing shoes cause this kind of pain
- does diet cause..
- chemicals

Whatever you can think of… Even if it seems unrelated.

Best of luck Ed. I am not a believer in Chiropractic medicine because I don't believe it fixes problems, just helps with symptoms.

Speaking of chiropractors, I had a cat, "Zen Kitty" that got old and close to dying.

Someone said to take her to a cat chiropractor, that they could help.

I found one, took the cat, and it died shortly thereafter.

The symptom is not serious
I still golf on this leg so that says alot.
Absolutely no pain bike riding
Most pain in the morning.
Sitting seems to really help.
Just had so many friends on FB that had success with a chiropractor regarding sciatica. A lot of friends responded with tellimg me to see a chiropractor. Some were adamant I don't see a dr because they tend to just dispense drugs.
I think something is just slightly out of wack.
Place and guy seems legit
Am I seeing a quack?

Went to the chiropractor
Pretty much an evaluation appointment
Physical examination of the leg issue and a lot of x-rays.
Worked on my leg a bit and showed me some exercises.
They want to look at the x-rays then if they can help, lay it out for me in the next appointment
Pretty impressive place
Lots of exercise equipment
Looks like they do a lot of Physical therapy

Just got a brand spankin new RV
Travel trailer of course. They aren't that pricy. I'm not buying an engine like the more expensive models.
When you ask to look at RVs. 1st question is you looking for an engine RV or something to tow.
Love it
Same length but more living room
Exchanged the bunk bed RV for a couch RV
Both have a dinette, queen bed, kitchen and bathroom shower.
I have more space to walk around so thats great for the occulus.

I needed some work done on mine so visited the dealer
Kind of hard on it living in it over a year and a half and dragged it around the country. Barely sideswiped the rear on guard rail in Northern CA which broke the awning.
I was at the dealer and was looking at new models out of curiosity
I told them what I had and they really wanted to make a deal.
I was taken aback on how hot they were for my current RV. I think bunk bed RV's are hot for families with kids
They gave me a great price on mine even with all its issues. I was very honest with them. Ton of small issues and a couple big ones including the damaged awning which I was planning on getting fixed. They were still hot for it. Must be a shortage of that model. Went back and forth on trade in price and we made a deal
Currently chilling in my brand new RV
Life is good

That's cool. If you have some warranty coverage now I imagine that would be something handy. Plenty of people who own those aren't out in them every day and traveling as much, so I imagine yours could actually get some use.
