Why do you guys care enough to argue about it? We all have our beliefs and aren't going to change the minds of others. What will be will be.

What did you do?

You voted for the bad person already. You knew he was bad when you voted for him and you've been complicit ever since. You actually have GONE OUT OF YOUR WAY to defend him this entire time with the countless "I don't support Trump but..." posts. That's what you did.

Psst...the economy does better under democrats by every measurement. It's not even close.

PERSONAL INSULT! I voted for myself for President in 2016. You have just called me a bad person.

Of course I am not offended. I’ve probably only mentioned it 5 or 10 times that I didn’t vote for Trump, and won’t in November. Just because I don’t suffer from TDS like you do does not mean I cannot only blame him to what he deserves blame for. As opposed to just blaming him for everything. And pre COVID-19 the economy was soaring. Lowest unemployment. Soaring markets. Businesses expanding . But you knew that. TDS prevents you from admitting it.

Because unlike the liberals still hoping for pee tapes it is a discussion that makes one think.

We don't have an empire. This is a common critique of America. We don't take things from other countries we give things to them. We rarely enter wars for personal gain, and we often enter wars to help other countries advance, either economically or helping them gain independence (Spanish American War).

Spanish-American War was not for gain? We did it all for poor little Cuba? Not so much. We did it to both eject a European power from Cuba and at the same time put our own influence there. Cuba is the key to the Gulf of Mexico. The Gulf of Mexico is the key to exports from the USA heartland. If Spain had not been ejected WWI and WWII might have been very different, there might have been kraut U-boat bases there.

As for Afganistan, that is how the Talbian rose in power. Whenever you fund proxies, you open up the door for extremism. If you want something done right you have to do it yourself.

In the 2000s we got further than the Soviet Union ever did in an overhaul of Afganistan in only 15 years, now Trump is throwing that all away. There are many other countries that require this kind of attention, and Trump is not willing to get involved.

Because it is not worth keeping. It is a part of the world where the two sides need to fight it out on their own.

Quote:
I have the same issue with Nixon and Vietnam, he pulled out because victory would have required a permanent presence (like Korea) and like Trump, did not want to spend the money (or support an unpopular war). Nixon wanted South Vietnam to take care of itself, it fell almost immediatly upon our exit.

Nixon got us out because the war and the peace were unwinable. SV could not stand on its own two feet no matter how much help we gave them. The war was bleeding us dry. Johnson made the mess of the second half of the 20th there. Nixon did the right thing. Cut losses and go home.

Trump pulls out of military operations like they are marriages....

Republicans like talking tough, but are afraid of long wars. If Johnson ran for re-election, Asia would be a much different place, and Vietnam would very likley be like Korea (with a full-time U.S. presence and close military cooperation), which would probably be a good thing for the world, especially now knowing what we do (about China's influence).....

Because long wars are a bad thing! Long wars drain a country of men and materials. They are bad for national morale. Then they require long occupations, which the USA is not good at nor do Americans like much. The Brits did well at occupations, the only occupations the USA handled well were Germany and Japan, the style of which would not be tolerated today.

Above all, the US Military needs the rest Trump has given it. We have been at a war tempo since 2001. One mission after another. This wears out men and equipment. It makes recruiting harder. It strains everything. Get out of Afghanistan. Quit bombing Syria. Stop jumping at the desire to right every little wrong. Learn to let proxies fight more.

Kim Klacik's campaign ad.

"The worst place for a Black person to live in America, is in a democrat controlled city"

"Name a blue city where Black peoples lives have gotten better."

She will of course, lose in a landslide. Slaves always vote for their masters, no matter how much they are abused by them.

?????????
Deep South is the worst place for a Black Person
Just checked out the Rosa Parks museum in Montgomery
It was fascinating. I learned so much about the year long bus boycott
White people did everything they could to stop that boycott even doing a mass arrest of all the boycott organizers.
Its an incredible story
I am still amazed what was accomplished Montgomery Alabama

2 choices. Vote for Dems or vote for the people that insist you sit at the back of the bus

Those Whites that tried to stop the boycott and conduct mass arrests, were all Democrats.

Those people that insisted Blacks sit in the back of the bus were all Democrats.

The Governor and Mayor were both Democrats.

Democrats wrote the laws that required Blacks to ride the back of the bus.

Democrats passed the literacy laws and poll taxes designed to keep Blacks from voting.

With the help of the media, they've been dumbing down the public for the past sixty years.
