Just like his poll numbers go up

You're wayyyyy too fixated on the
fake polls, just like in 16. The only
poll that counts is the people
that show up to see him and Biden
in person. For Trump it's always
a stupendous turnout. For Biden it's
just embarrassing. Like it was
for Hillary. The only way she could
get any numbers at a rally was to
have three famous bands open for
her.

We know how much the core Trump supporters are roped in by him, AND IT MEANS NOTHING.

https://www.insider.com/john-fogerty-fortunate-son-trump-rally-response-2020-9

John Fogerty is upset at use of "Fortunate Son" at Trump's rallies.
This is a Vietnam era song that showed the double standard for how the son of millionaire's could dodge the draft.

It's pretty ironic that Trump is using it as a theme.

And we all know it's money spent
that wins elections. In 2016
the Hillary campaign spent $580
million. Trump's campaign spent
$322 million. Clinton spent almost
twice as much and still lost big time.

Doesn't matter how much money
you spend polishing a turd, in the
end it's still a turd. And the one
the Dems picked this year is an
old turd, the worst kind to try and
polish.

Good.

I assume he wants to be the British ambassador.

The current British ambassador, Woody Johnson, is also from NYC an initially endorsed Jeb Bush. But by August 2019 he had donated $1.5 million to Trump's campaign and inaugural committee. In February 2020, Johnson gave $575,000 to a fundraising committee for Trump's 2020 re-election campaign, and $355,000 to the RNC. In May 2020, he gave $1 million to America First Action, Inc., a pro-Trump super PAC.

Frankly for $100m you should be able to pick your country that you want to be ambassador.

So is Boris Johnson. No relation to Woody.

The last time the Ambassador position to United Kingdom did not go to a fundraiser was William James Crowe Jr. (January 2, 1925 – October 18, 2007). Corwe was a United States Navy admiral who served as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush, and as the ambassador to the United Kingdom under President Bill Clinton (June 2, 1994 – September 20, 1997).
