If anything, the number of books is increasing exponentially if you are a resident with a great county library system. This is a great social media site. I learn a lot here. We have the perfect example of no censorship here. All views allowed. There is no current truth here. kenarman has freedom to express his views with no restrictions here. You mean books like, “I have two mommies”? I think the attempt at book banning is older than both of us put together. I’m arguing over what’s Important to venerate versus putting it in a museum. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

Yes! Not related to your point main point. But, I like how you mention Kindle can be used at libraries to virtually borrow/rent books. Not a lot of people know this, but many public libraries you can bring a Kindle (or whatever Ereader) and digitally borrow books for free if you have library card (which is also free). Way more efficient than lugging physical books to and from libraries. A very cool feature that many local libraries have that many don't know about. |

Electronic borrowing from the library is great. I can be anywhere on the planet with internet and I can download any book I like in their system. We are living in the future. Library's are no longer confined by physical space. They can buy whatever they want electronically and provide it to their members electronically for free. I'm amazed at the number of books I have access too. I check out books on a whim. Dont like it or cant get into it, I move on. My county has a great library system. They buy tons of books and popular books, they will buy multiple copies so the wait time is not long if already checked out. I use the App Overdrive. It connects me to my county library system, enter my card number and pin. I'm in. Besides kindle books, audio books availible for free as well. Sometimes I will do those for long drives. I was thinking more like the "Bobbsey Twins" series of books or "Tom Sawyer" to mention just a couple. "but if you make yourselves sheep, the wolves will eat you." Benjamin Franklin |

Unfortunately books are covered by copywrite for an absurd period of time. But, Gutenberg is great for the classics and historical works. |

Just checked the local library, they have them also. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bobbsey Twins pulled from the libraries, for no more sinister reason than lack of circulation.
