Asking for consent to arrest would be silly and redundant.

It's funny, I expected objections on both those issues. It may be silly to you, but it's not redundant. The Miranda statement doesn't spell out the action that is significant, and about to happen. And the one that seems to be the start of these street conflicts. Acronym KISS. Keep it simple stupid. Well, this is spell it out, explicitly.

I thought about the issue of projecting to the future arrestee' what you are about to do. But with a non-violent offense, and no indications of a violent offender, the need to do a "surprise attack" approach to overcome the person isn't desirable or necessary. Jujitsu-like moves by the police to capture the person are just going to create the same aggravation that is already being created. That is, 'why you tackling a guy selling cigarettes on the street', or what ever similar. It's sheer escalation, and for what?
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

The murder rate was up 8.7% in 2019 under de Blasio’s previous incompetent Commissioner.

Shea replaced him in December. Now the murder rate is already up 25% over 2019.

On top of that, de Blasio is defunding $1.1 billion from the NYPD budget. His wife’s idea. That translates to 5,000 fewer cops.
