Yeah the under God part in the 50s was silliness....

Many things were changed because of Nazi iconography. The Finnish used to have a swastika as their AF symbol. The Nazis corrupted a lot of traditional symbols that needed to be changed.

Really bad protests scheduled for AC today.

Christopher Columbus statue was taken down preemptively.

First weekend casinos are open so it will be interesting to see how this AC protest classes with casino patrons and security....




A military motorcycle club is organizing groups to station around AC military monuoments to prevent vandalism.

Police are still working to identify vandals from the AC last riot (over 1 month ago) using cameras and photographs to ID people. It will be easy to ID people who try stuff near casinos because they have great surveillance. :

Lawlessness rules the day once again. Tearing down statues and "peaceful protests" turning into looting and riots. People throwing stuff at police. People shot all over the place like many normally Saturdays in the city.

Wake the hell up if you give a crap about the country. vote for Biden if you will. The President is not the problem (he also may not be the solution but that is a different conversation)...the problem is that the response to the lawlessness from ALL of our leaders at ALL levels is weak.

Do we need to change things? Of course we do. The net result of the change so far is:

--moves to defund police, which will not fix anything and will allow more crime (as opposed to real police reform)
--Statues removed by violence, some of which actually should be removed and others that should not be, instead of by the hard work of change
--Change of the Mississippi flag
--police being attacked and killed
--dead citizens (killed by rioters) and dead protesters (as in the CHOP)

The changes we need are on the back burner because they will be hard. Breaking things is easy.

Real change won't happen unless people are willing to work hard.

If the movement known as Black Lives matter had an actual goal of saving Black Lives, is there anyone with an IQ over 1 that actually believes that defunding police will help save Black Lives? Without ANY question, increasing police presence, anti-crime units, undercover agents, etc... will SAVE Black lives.

So the actions of BLM, in reality, should cause them to change their name to BLDM.

These cuts are coming without a plan as a knee-jerk reaction to what the protesters say they want. They aren't necessarily wrong in wanting change, but they are wrong in that just defunding things making anything better. At least some Democrats, like the mayor of Minneapolis, are calling out the stupidity of the idea.

An idea of what needs to happen is the city of Chicago needs to figure out how to control the rampant shootings occurring all the time. The current policing model they have is not working, so change the model. It probably actually means a time of more cops and more actions to stop smaller crimes, but now so many want minor crimes ignored. While Mayor Lightfoot is busy criticizing Trump and others, her city is killing people of color at an alarming rate. She has way more control over her city than Trump, but you don't really hear her doing much to fix the problems that she can fit.

The sad part is the same liberals that have let this stuff happen in the cities are moving to areas where conservatives have ruled the day and bringing their policies with them. They leave a trail of tears and are spreading it instead of working on ways to make things better for everyone.
