5 reasons why summer parties are spiking coronavirus numbers when protests didn’t

And yet, MI covid hospitalizations
have been leveled off since the first
week of June. We now test 20,000
a day, up from 15,000 just last week,
So OF COURSE more cases are
showing up. But not more hospitalizations.
They keep saying and have been saying
for 6 weeks that hospitalizations will
follow the uptick in new cases. But that
hasn't happened because what they're
finding isn't NEW cases, it's OLD cases
of people who got it and never
showed signs.

Read it and weep.

If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

^^^ Those numbers are specific to Michigan. It helps that we have a great governor who handled the crisis well.

How are hospitalizations going in AZ, FL, and TX?

Totally different topics... This is about allowing cities to have local health madates such as masks if they determine they are locally needed...

The anti-maskers have come up with a really good argument, i.e.,

Even if wearing a mask might save just one other person's life besides your own from an early death, that's not worth the burden of putting one on.

Perfectly logical.

Yeah its a sad mentality to have....

I have been in a lot of unsafe areas without a mask, I value my health and fitness, but I am willing to risk myself. But, when it comes to saving others, the socially responsible thing is to wear a mask. You can't argue with the CDC.

No it's not. Never driving your
car again might save just one
persons life. Will you stop
driving? Of course not, that
would be ridiculous. That's
not how society works. You
do your best but you cannot
beat random chance and if you
try, it will disrupt everything.

You can put up Walk/Don't
Walk signs at intersections,
but you cannot prevent people
getting hit with cars. Should
you order all cars off the streets?
There is only so much we can
do, life goes on.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Yep, that's what's so frustrating for the smart people in the country.
Libbies all over the US are apparently incapable of using simple logic anymore. 🙄

They are living in fear. On the other side the so-called advantage players are saying they are afraid to touch cheques at the tables. Some people are so afraid of the china virus I am amazed they leave their houses.

I will never understand the libbies. They engage is risky behavior all the damn time. Yet they're afraid of a sickness that the overwhelming majority of people will recover from?? Huh?! 😕

Hoo boy. Did you even think before you wrote that?

No one asked millions of people to stop driving; they asked millions of people to wear a simple face covering. The risk is not even in the ballpark of the Galaxy by comparison. The inconvenience of not driving, compared to wearing a simple face covering is not even in the ballpark of the same Galaxy by comparison.

You're being asked to wear a mask, not take a bullet in the gut or drag yourself from miles out in the desert on your stomach with no water.

You're being asked to wear a mask,

First masks were totally not needed,
everybody said they were ineffective.
Now they're the savior of our species.
Which stance do you figure was pure BS.
Pick one, they both are.
