Magis Center, really? Here's their goal: 'Our mission is to restore, reconstruct, and revitalize belief in God and the real presence of Jesus Christ' Why would I ever read a biased article by them on any subject. Key word here is 'reconstruct'. They want to rewrite history to make their stifling crooked horrible religion look better. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

It's called re-written history done by the Vatican using their own 'facts'. I have no time to waste on revised re-written biased history. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Since you don't have any and you don't want to learn anything kindly don't respond anymore. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

So you want me to read a long article written by Christians and then take time I don't have and research every detail to see if they're right? Really? Why on earth would I do that. How many times over the years have you taken something I posted and totally dismissed it because you said the source was secular. Dozens? If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

FrGamble Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 67 Posts: 7596 | I have never dismissed a link you posted because it was secular. I have dismissed links you've posted because they were literally crazy from fringe websites with disturbing lies and falsehoods. I don't care about if a source is secular, Christian, or whatever. I'm after the truth. If you were you would read the article when you have the time. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

Uh Huh, the truth. Here are other articles from Magis: Evidence of God from Contemporary Science & Philosophy Contemporary Scientifically Validated Miracles Associated with Blessed Mary, Saints and the Holy Eucharist (scientifically validated? Really? By real science?) Philosophical Proof of God Evidence for God from Physics and Philosophy A Contemporary Thomistic Metaphysical Proof of God Historical Evidence of Jesus’ Miracles The Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist—History and Evidence The Reality of Spiritual Evil And many more. After seeing all this unproven nonsense treated like it's settled scientific fact, you want me to believe the article you refer to is factual? If all these articles are nothing but scientific fact, how is it that the Board of Science (or whatever it's called) in the UK, that has some of the worlds most prominent people in the scientific community as it's members, why are 92% of them atheists? Why weren't they convinced by all the overwhelming evidence presented here. Because none of it is evidence of anything more than an active imagination and the desire to fool the more gullible among us. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

FrGamble Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 67 Posts: 7596 | Why are they atheists? I don't know. I bet 100% would not agree with you that there is no possibility of God. In fact 100% would recognize the merits of the arguments for God which you won't even listen to. 100% of them would also say there is evidence that supports God's existence. So I don't know why there are atheists in the scientific community. Sometimes it is because they reject religion and not God. They might do this because of personal or philosophical reasons, but they don't reject God. Others might simply not care about the question because they know it cannot be answered by science. Others say they are atheists because of professional or political pressure in our secular world to say that. Only thing I know for sure is that they do not claim to be atheists because of any evidence or reasoned argument. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

Sure you do. There is no REAL evidence of a god. There lots of faux evidence that is really just speculation and guesswork. So they have no choice but atheism.
There's a chance I might win the lottery but I wouldn't bet on it. I'm certainly not basing my lifestyle on the chance I might win the lottery. Why would I base it on somebody's opinion that a god might exist. That's just dumb. Here I am god, show yourself and end the argument.
It's LACK OF EVIDENCE!!! The same standard we use to reject unicorns, Santa, Bigfoot, and any other silly myth. You have a totally screwed up view of the world. You think lack of evidence is enough evidence to base your entire lifestyle on. That's just nuts, why would anybody choose to do that unless they were compelled to because they had flawed teaching when they were young. Or somebody like CS Lewis who was obviously just a goofball who's best friend even doubted his sincerity. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
