Yeah Henry Ford was a monster. But, it is now shareholder-owned. During WWII almost all vehicle companies were terrible. At least Ford did not make vehicles for the Nazi (VW) or the Imperial Army (Toyota). Ironically by this standard GM is probably the cleanest (basically was an allied vehicle producer).

I mean Hugo Boss is the ultimate in men's fashion, and they got their start designing SS uniforms (and using concentration slave labor).

Almost all companies during WWII had shady history to put it mildly. If that company was based in Europe or Japan during WWII multiply the shadiness.

When you go back in time and nitpick every company during WWII (or earlier) you will enter a rabbit hole of terrible behavior. It's best to focus on what they are doing (or not doing) now.

VW did not exist until after WWII. Ford's family still effectively has near total control. To say VW made vehicles for the German Army is to also say GM did via Opel.

How is that discrimination? At most you would find that distasteful. That is not limiting your rights to buy or not buy the product.

I was offended.

Ford intentionally risked their clientele for a small part of the population.

Those folks associated with the rainbow are already equal, spiritually and legally.

They shouldn't receive preferential treatment over the rest of us, possibly because they're perceived as victims.

It's similar to Aunt Jemima on a syrup bottle, Uncle Ben on a rice container, Mr. Clean on a chemical container, etc.

But for changing sex, which is impossible, because each of the several trillion cells contain the sex chromosome.

I don't know the history of those examples I gave, but I know the history of Bud was tarnished by implying it's possible to change sexes.

Unless they were intentionally making fun of a white man off his rocker.

Speaking of Toyota:

They could be following Ford's lead with the rainbow.

I know Ford Trucks hold their value exceptionally well.

It'll be interesting what their used trucks are worth after the rainbow paint.

Bud is buying back their expired beer product and will likely write off a loss.

Toyota down about $11 Billion, what looks like one large block was sold.

Dude there are famous pics of Hitler riding around in a Volkswagon, I don't know what to tell you. Henry Ford is dead, his children are not responsible for his past actions.

Being offended is not being discrimated against. This is an absurd comment.

VW was founded post WW2. It has nothing to do with anything before then.

Dude, you can't be serious, from their own website:

https://www.volkswagen-newsroom.com/en/history-3693

"The history of the Volkswagen brand began with the “Käfer”; development work on this Nazi prestige project began in 1934. On May 28, 1937, the “Gesellschaft zur Vorbereitung des Deutschen Volkswagens mbH“ (Company for the Preparation of the German Volkswagen Ltd.) was formally established. The name was changed to “Volkswagenwerk GmbH” in 1938, and the company built its main plant in what has become Wolfsburg. However, the outbreak of war and integration in the arms industry prevented mass production of the Volkswagen (“people’s car”) – instead, military vehicles and other armaments were produced using forced labor. We've all been here long enough that we know what we're getting when we opt to reply to someone.

Why any of you still quote and respond to me, I will never understand.
