He had a love interest in Edge of Tomorrow. In fact he came back once more time to court her.

He had a female co-star, it was hardly
a love interest. He never kissed her,
never dated her, and they only implied
he came back to court her. Their
relationship was 99% professional.

But he tried. The movie would have been a lot better without the horndog ending tacked on.

I've seen the movie 7 or 8 times,
he tried how. By asking her middle
name? A love interest in a movie
is where there is active participation
on both sides, not some veiled
implication in the last scene.

You know, maybe being a pauper isn't so bad. I've never heard of most of those movies, much less seen them, but it sounds like I ain't missed much.

Yeah, I saw Tomorrow 7-8 times because
it sucked. I have the DVD so I can see it
another half dozen times because it
sucks so much. I bet I've seen the Reacher
movies a dozen times, Minority Report
ditto. I have all the Mission movies and
have lost count on how many views.
Yup, you're missing nothing. lol

Just a different way of seeing it I guess.

That is one of the best sci-fi movies ever made, IMO.

It's good because it's plausible
and has great menacing smart
aliens. And a good cast. Cruise
worked his ass off in that movie.
The fighter outfit he wore in
most of the scenes weighed
70 pounds and he worked and
worked to make it look power
assisted, which it was not.

I always like Cruise in everything.
He has a real onscreen presence,
he's 'there', he pops off the screen
at you. Either you have it or you
don't. Marilyn had it, Paul Newman,
James Dean, Brando, Bogart, even
John Wayne.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

The movie industry sells 48% of tickets to people who go to the movies at least once a month.

More than two-thirds (71%) of the U.S./Canada population – or 246 million people – went to the cinema at least once in 2016, a two percent increase from 2015.

screens around the world 2016
USCD EMEA Asia Latin A
25,914 22,081 12,905 6,993 digital 2-d screens
16,745 18,278 46,949 5,204 digital 3-d screens

I get it, I just don't care for that portion.

Well the industry probably doesn't really care what you think unless you are a key demographic or go to the movies every month. I don't like 3-D movies, but with thousand of 3-D screens in Asia, and the world count at over 50% of digital screens being 3-D, the industry cares about 3-D a lot.
