Even if we have the most brilliant President ever, they have to know when they are wrong and take advice from others. And everyone is wrong sooner or later, no matter what they do, and then they have to be able to pivot successfully. Those would be some of my questions. If she can adapt, fine. I’ll change it up a little. Can they take advice from those that put country ahead of party? If those advising Biden did, they would have told him to state he was a one term President quite early in his term. Would have given Harris or Newsom or whoever time to emerge as the people’s choice, not the insiders choice which is what Harris was. We know Trump doesn’t pick people for the good of the country as his first motive. I think AOC is just too far left to do virtually anything that is really for the country’s overall good. And we know both parties choose optics over the good of the country EVERY TIME. |

This is exactly why she is not influential This is exactly why Foxnews, fleaswatter and soopoo are so obsessed with her It's the Dem derangement syndrome crowd that clicks on every AOC story to satisfy their syndrome of hate The syndrome is so bad, they support tarriffs instead of free trade capitalism |

Few tell any in Congress they're too old. Few of the old are convinced they are too old. And when they get too old, they don't take advice any better. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

| fleaswatter Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 5 Posts: 1751 | ![]() ok turtledick, let's talk some facts (something you know nothing about). Previously to my post in this thread a couple days ago, the last time I posted about AOC was on Dec 31, 2021. If you can figure it out , that was over 4 years ago. Since that post of mine, YOU have posted in this thread in excess of 15 times. So WHO is obsessed with AOC??? Not me. The only thing you exposed (again) is your ignorance. |

I still can’t believe there is anyone stupid enough to believe AOC is not ‘influential’. I’m not saying she runs the Democrat Party, but it’s hard to find many more influential than her. I’m not obsessed with her at all. I just follow her like I do other influential politicians like Trump, Schumer, Sanders, etc… Bizarre comment ‘syndrome of hate’. It’s what you say when you actually have no facts to help you? |

In the current times There is only one influential politician in America Trump AOC isn't influencing anybody to vote against Trump Not one single vote Trump is doing that all by himself |

AOC got initial attention because she was young and attractive. A liberal politician made for the cover of "People." Michael Moore even called for us to change the Constitution so she could run before she turned 35. Do not underestimate the appearance thing, either. And she had education credentials at least on paper. Then she starts talking...... This is a woman to whom Jamie Dimon had to explain in congressional testimony that banks do not run or have responsibility for pipelines. Her comments this week show she is not ready to play at the level she is on let alone as a POTUS candidate. Get past her prepared left-wing Trump hate prepared soundbite remarks and off the rails she goes. Lefties whine about the "above the equator" thing but they piled on Quayle for "potatoe." But it is the Taiwan thing where she showed she is just not all that intelligent. She could not even talk around it. I think it is Toastmasters does it but we did it in the Jaycees sometimes as well--you are given a topic at random to talk on. You have a few moments to think about it, then you have comment on it for like a minute. Then you get graded. It's fun but it is practice for when you get put on the spot like this. The average Joe who does it does better at job interviews and sales presentations. Politicians who do it do better when they get this kind of question. A working House member does not need to be expected for an eloquent comment on Taiwan in a random question. One who goes to a forum knowing they will be the center of attention had better. As a House member, AOC was not getting near the presidency in 2028. I believe that has only happened once in history and I cannot remember in my lifetime any such candidate getting past the earliest primaries. But she very well might have blown her chances of being asked to be a running mate out of the water. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |
