It was years before I realized that the two couples of The Flinrstones were derived from if not totally ripped off from The Honeymooners.

Barney even talks like Ed Norton.

I suspected that too, although the Honeymooners was before my time. You couldn't help but catch pieces surfing through the channels, which you had to do with the knob on the actual TV.

There was once a good Jeopardy question that went something like, "Who was the last celebrity to endorse cigarettes in a black and white television commercial?" I could be way off on the phrasing.

Hey, I'm not that much older than you. I watched The Honeymooners reruns on late night TV as a teenager.

Other kids my age liked that show too. I am looking for any excuse to say anything is before my time, as not many things are anymore.

I've noticed younger men are starting to call me "sir" a lot more. I respect the good manners, but it makes me feel old.

"The Simpsons" was supposedly part a spoof of "The Flintstones." Best Buddy Neighbors vs. Guys hated each other.

Okay, you have just set yourself up to be tortured with Flinstones trivia the next time we see each other.

I will give it a shot. My memory isn't great but I am sure that I have seen every episode at least 20 times.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.

Here is something I've always wondered. In the closing credits the cat throws Fred out and he bangs and the door and yells for Wilma. Why doesn't he just go in through the same window the cat did?
