Superman: Dawn of Justice), Tom Welling was already playing a young Superman in the television series Smallville. Instead they went with Brandon Routh, primarily because of his looks. Superman Returns( Release Date: June 28, 2006) Production Budget: $270 million Domestic: $200,081,192 Foreign: $191,000,000 The movie was an over blown mess that couldn't possibly break even given the sky-high production budget.
But there is a tremendous amount of money riding on these films. They might be better off going the Disney way, and hire an actor with nearly zero screen time. |

And a terrible story line.
It's not like Stargate Atlantis was big. It wasn't even as good as Stargate SG-1. Apparently, though, there are multiple incarnations of the secondary superheroes (ie those who are not Batman or Superman). I vaguely recall in one Aquaman is kind of like a barbarian chieftain. Based on the photos from the Justice League movie, that's what they seem to be aiming for. Jason Momoa fits. he's big, rugged, pumped and has a beard. In Atlantis he played tough and gentle with equal skill (ie, you could buy both modes). He'd be a fine barbarian chieftain tough on the bad guys and kind to the civilians caught int he crossfire. I'm more worried about the villain. They're going with a minor one from the Darkseid stable of comic-booky, flamboyant villains. If things get too fantastical, the movie plot and characters tend to suffer. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

But it seems she is particularly charming in Wonder Woman. When the attendance from the first week based on advertising wears off, people are buying record numbers of tickets in follow up weeks. She may be the DC universes most popular character. Man of Steel Bat. v Sup. Suicide Squad Wonder Woman Logan (Wolverine) Her week #2 and week #3 ticket sales are comparable to Marvel's popular character Wolverine. By day #24 ticket sales caught up to Batman vs Superman |

Have you seen it? Lucy Lawless was way better, Gadot is just another flash in the pan pretty face. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I am not a movie person. Maybe see 2 a year on average. I really enjoyed WW. I thought Gal Gadot was absolutely perfect in that role. We can agree to disagree. |

As America's "forgotten war", WWI seems to inspire very few films, but when they are released they seem to attract much a lot of infrequent filmgoers. War Horse was based on a children's book, but it seemed to be a big hit with senior citizens. |

The Captain Marvel movie will be released March 9, 2019. Starring Academy Award winner Brie Larson in the title role. I believe Captain Marvel will make her first appearance in next year's Avengers movie. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Brie Larson is now age 27, but she had a small role in 21 Jump Street five years ago. Jonah Hill played a cop who was pretending to be a high school student. He is about 6 years older than Brie |

WWI suffers from narrative problems. Both sides were horrible and stupid. Worse, there was no clearly defined goal. And the war ended in an armistice rather than the clear defeat of one side. I recommend reading, or watching, "All's Quiet on the Western Front." It's told from the perspective of a German soldier. WWI stories told from the perspective of allied soldiers read almost exactly the same. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |
