When I want my car fixed I take it to a guy
who had actually repaired cars, not just read
about it in a book. A guy with bruised knuckles
and grease under his fingernails. Hands on
experience.

Exactly, that is them having issues with me. The only thing I can talk about with women is trivia questions, math puzzles, and magic tricks. I'm working on a fourth -- fortune telling. It is my fault I don't know what else to say.

What man does know why they act like they do? Gene Simmons? I'm sure women feel much more comfortable sharing their deepest thoughts with a priest than a guy who is only putting up with the chatter to improve his chances to of getting her in bed, which would describe most straight men.

Much like I didn't know that there was crime associated with illegal drugs in the US, I didn't know about this either.

Dean Martin might be the coolest guy
who ever lived. His secret was, he didn't
care what anybody thought of him. It
wasn't an act, he really didn't care if you
liked him him or not. He was just who he
was and lived his life that way. This drove
people like Sinatra and Jerry Lewis nuts.
No matter what they did to make Dean
like them, he could care less.

He would call Frank an asshole right in
front of him, in front of other people. He
didn't care. And Frank let him do it because
he knew Dean didn't care if Frank was his
friend or not, piss Dean off and he would
dump you. Even if you're Frank Sinatra.

I really admire that in somebody. To be able
to be who you are and truly not care what
people think is rare. Not just pretend to not
care, but to really not care. That takes extreme
self confidence, in spades, which Dean had.

I'm sure you already didn't know this, either. But perhaps you don't know it so well, you really don't notice it.
