It's completely different. It couldn't be any more different.

The law says that looting, theft, destruction of property, sedition, treason and vandalism are all crimes. I can't imagine the impetus for those crimes really matters.

It will be super interesting to see how McConnell handles being minority leader. Going from arguably the second most important man in government to like ..... not that important. I know a local politician who was a Republican New York State Senator for the past decade. In the majority. Lots of power. Then last election Democrats took the majority. Now essentially no power. He retired rather than seek re-election. He was in a gerrymandered district that would and he could be re-elected as infinitum.

McConnell’s hands don’t look good.

Speaking of Guiliani, Rudy called Sen. Tommy Tubberville before the electoral vote count to relay some strategy. He left a rambling voicemail instructing Sen. Tubberville to object to as many states as possible to delay the procedure so more congressmen could be persuaded to object. He left the voicemail with a wrong number.
