Yep, trump wants to blame china. Surprised he hasn't blamed somebody sitting on their bed.

Speaking of Trump implosion,

Atlantic City NJ is auctioning off the rights to Implode Trump Plaza with proceeds going to the Boys and Girls Club of AC.

For people familiar with AC, this building has been vacant for years, and the City has determined it to be in poor condition and a health and safety hazard (with pieces of the exterior falling off occasionally). It is also prime real estate (massive lot right on the boardwalk).

Due to COVID restrictions, the demolition can be activated remotely, though the City also said that it can make arrangements for the winner to be there in person.

The last number I can find was the bidding was already over 60K. The auction will go on until 19JAN2021. And, the demolition will occur in February (date not certain yet).

It seems Atlantic City is finally cleansing itself of Trump's follies! (And, yes I am aware he does not currently own the property). In a way it is symbolic of what is happening in the country by removing the follies of the past and moving forward!

It is also ironic that the idea of removing a Trump icon through an auction will generate more money for charity than Trump has donated in his career....

Trumps border wall is a sickening eyesore, even from miles and miles away. I hope the first thing the new president does is tear this monstrosity down.

Stopping construction and canceling current contracts will come at a price. I doubt anyone has the political will to spend more money removing any completed wall. Meanwhile, increased flooding in Starr County Texas is likely and much of the wall in the lower Rio Grande Valley is built in national wildlife refuge because it avoided the legal complications of taking private property.

I have to disagree. Once the Democrats are in charge there will be ABSOLUTELY NO CONCERN about spending money we don’t have to make Trump look bad. It will be one of their main goals. The few hundred million this will likely cost will be the happiest waste of money the Democrats will authorize ... for their base....

You may be right, but I suspect, with wall construction stopped they will move on. I said in another thread that Republicans (not including SOOPOO) don't really care about deficits. Similarly, Democrats don't care about flooding in Starr county or wildlife migration on the border. They would rather focus on using my tax money to send someone else's kids to college.
