Obama's Presidency is in the past, pretty much, and I think he is overrated right now and will not be as highly thought of after time passes as he is now. His poll ratings are interesting; he polls well but his party took a huge defeat in November.

I know, I know...his ratings are higher than Trump's. We'll see how that plays out, too.

No President's poll ratings go down immediately after he leaves office. If Obama is not thought of as highly in the future, it'll take decades for that sentiment to solidify. And I kind of doubt that will happen, especially seeing the trainwreck of corruption and incompetence this country is about to endure. I think that is why Obama's ratings are so high at the moment: people are already missing him.

Yes, Obama's approval ratings are way higher than Donald's. Obama's been President for 8 years, and Trump is in the honeymoon phase. Usually their approval ratings would be reversed at this point. To have Donald's at 37% now is astounding. I suspect he may never reach the level of approval Obama did after 8 years in office.

In regards to health care, Republicans are about to pull the rug out from under 20 million Americans because they hate Obama so much. Many of those people voted for Donald. Whatever their "replacement" turns out to be (if there is one), it won't have the same coverage that the ACA did. People with pre-existing conditions are going to be screwed, 20-somethings on their parents' health plans are going to be screwed, women are going to be screwed. Republicans are going to own that for a long time and that will be a large part of Donald's legacy.

Maybe if he liquidated his vast fortune and shared it equally among all US Citizens, he'd gain a few points.

And lose them when people realize it means they get 82 cents or so....

One of those things I didn't know about was that the President was exempt from a mandatory divestiture. One of those things that needs changing, if you ask me.

For all Presidents. Even though I like Trump about as much as the last mosquito I squashed, it wouldn't be fair to apply it to him any more than not allowing grandfathered laws.

Just the same, almost all wealthy presidents have placed their wealth in a blind trust for the duration.

I'd make it an impeachable offense to obtain even one penny from any source other than the president's salary or a blind trust.

That's an unfair comparison. Mosquitos can't help being vermin. It's in their nature.

Trump is now also blaming Republicans this AM.

Quote:
The dossier contained at least some claims that were subsequently verified. In it, for instance, the British former intelligence officer reported that in July that Carter Page, a businessman named by Trump as one of his foreign policy advisers, met with one of Putin’s lieutenants. That information was proven true by US Intelligence officials two months later. Moreover, the intelligence officer reported that Trump’s campaign had knowledge of the DNC hack over the summer and “had agreed to sideline Russian intervention in Ukraine as a campaign issue” if the Russians would release it. A few days later, Trump did indeed suggest that he might recognize the Russian’s annexation of Crimea. Moreover, despite having little input into the Republican platform at the Convention, Trump did insist that certain pro-Russian positions be added.

Ah, who, knows, but interesting.

It's unverified, but not disproven as Bob and Duffy would like you to believe.

And CNN's report from the other night has held up well, despite Republicans'' initial outrage against it.

I know it is hard to keep track of all of the unverified, not-disproven things with them trying to cram so much into a few days in order to suppress the truth, but another unverified not-disproven allegation is that all of those binders and folders full of things Trump allegedly signed to deal with his conflicts of interest were just blank pieces of paper, and it was all just a sham, a show.

In a show of opacity (the opposite of transparency) he presented these folders to the press, but wouldn't let anyone open them.

Donald attacks Congressman and civil rights legend John Lewis in a tweet today. Calls him "all talk, no action."

This just proves what a moron Donald truly is.

Many people have criticized John Lewis's recent comment about Trump being "illegitimate." I can certainly see where that criticism is coming from (although I'd side with John Lewis here). But to say "no action" - that just shows how little Donald knows about history. Just do a simple Google image search and you can see just how wrong that comment is.

This is just too precious. The MSM is coming
unglued that Trump is attacking CNN and
Buzzfeed. Yet Obama trashed Fox and Rush
for 8 solid years and the MSM never said
a word. I saw a clip of a dozen times Obama
mocked and defamed Fox, and that was just
a partial list. He did it all the time.

But Trump does it and all of a sudden it's the
most horrible thing they've ever seen. LOL

Totally agree
John Lewis has been on the front lines of civil rights fights
What a brave man
He was one of the original freedom riders through the south. Beaten because whites and blacks sat next to each other on a bus
To actually beat up somebody violently simply for sitting on an unsegregated bus
This guy has got balls
Trump has no balls, resorts to angry tweets. Really a sad guy, doesn't understand history
