This idea of Michelle Obama as Hillary's VP choice seems to be bandied about a lot. Ellen Degeneres brought it up with Hillary, and Hillary said the idea was great, but deferred to choosing Ellen as her #1 VP choice.

This the first time I have heard this
Aint gonna happen, just too out there

It reminds me of When Jon Anderson ran for president
There was talk that he should pick Walter Chronkite as VP

Joe Biden at age 74 this November is a little "out there" , but he may not help her get elected. Barack Obama would be challenged in the courts, but it might easily hold up. Nancy Pelosi (age 76) faced a close election her first time for United States House of Representatives, California District 5 special election , April 7, 1987 but she has won every election since then by an obscene majority.

The Democratic Convention will be held July 25–28, 2016, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, one week after the Republican convention.

These are the names that seem to come up the most.

Wesley Clark (age 71)
Elizabeth Ann Warren(age 67)
Tom Vilsack (age 65)
Timothy Michael Kaine (age 58)
Martin Heinrich Democratic Senator from New Mexico (age 44)
Julián Castro Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (age 41) Former Mayor of San Antonio

Julián Castro would be an interesting choice, as the nearly 50 million Latinos in the country may vote overwhelmingly for him.

Everyone keeps saying Hillary will pick Tim Kaine as her running mate.

Seems like a boring choice to me (but I found Joe Biden to be the boring choice for Obama, so maybe that's what is needed...).

Trump seems likely to pick Newt Gingrich. Him and Chris Christie seem to be the only ones left who want the job (and Chris Christie failed the vetting process in 2012 when the Romney campaign looked at him).

I don't see a need to shore up the Latino vote against Trump. It's not quite on the level of securing the African-American vote against David Duke, but it's close.

I was watching on of the Sunday shows and they had a poll that showed Trump's support amongst blacks at 1%.

That made me LOL when I saw it on TV. I mean, I'm sure his support is a little higher than that, but it just looked funny to see the big bold "1%" they used to display the poll.

Would that include the man he referred to as "my African-American"?

I may go back to writing campaign slogans.

Trump: The Candidate of Self-Parody

Trump: If You Don't Vote For Me, I'll Sue!

Trump/Christie: The Orange Clown and The Brown Nose

Hillary: I'm NOT Trump (that's all I got)

Blacks vote democrat or not at all. Energy the gop spends reaching out to them is not just wasted but counterproductive. Of course this allows the democrats to mostly ignore them.

Blacks vote democrat or not at all. .

Hmm
I'm sure Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice, Ben Carson or Alan West would not agree.

Wow, check out this huge list

Please learn some critical reading skills so you understand a general statement. It will help the conversation flow here.

It is well known that blacks vote over 90% democrat. Pointing out some famous exceptions does not make your point. Lets see, 30 million blacks in the USA give or take a few, assume 20 million of voting age and of that 50% vote. 10 million black voters and 9 million of that will vote democrat no matter what. So you want to show me a wikipedia list to show the point is not valid?

I'll say it again. This is not math where once false = false.

Put another way, if you were in an undergrad poly-sci class and you used that statement to prove blacks do not vote democrat you would get to take the class a second time.

I'd say more but I have a weekend to enjoy.

I think it's insulting to say any ethnic group would disregard someones stand on issues and policy and vote for them on the basis of their ethnic background alone. His last name might be pretty fitting for Clinton though. Castro. Too bad his first name isn't Fidel.
