In fact, I don' even think you can anticipate every problem until you actually implement it. Of course an attempt to honestly sell it as something imperfect would have just given ammunition to its detractors. So that may have been a necessity. How so? I don't think the Republicans sent even once a reform bill, just various repeals that they counted on having vetoed. "Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts." Daniel Patrick Moynihan |

Well, he could have actually asked them to reform the bill. Of course from day one he told the GOP to sit down and shut up so doubtful that would have helped. A more likely way would have been in how it was implemented. But that would have taken away from his golf time, so also doubtful. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

They are scared of taking ownership of any changes. "Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts." Daniel Patrick Moynihan |

No, but many of those failings were due to Republican obstructionism, both the flaws that were written into the law originally and those that emerged during its implementation. It's well understood that Obama wanted the law to go further than it did--as did a strong majority (70%) of the American people (but who cares what THEY want). I attribute the rabid Republican opposition to Obamacare to racism simply because there is no rational reason for them to have opposed it or to be rupturing themselves trying to destroy it. Even Trumpers have benefitted from the ACA! Besides, who cares whether every promise was fulfilled? The only thing that matters now is whether the program provides tangible benefits. Clearly, 20 million people having access to health care is an intrinsic good--even if corporate profits dropped a little, and even if most of those 20 million were shiftless darkies and Messkins. |

Based on Donald's constant public fellating of Putin, I'd say he's scared of something.... Most likely that pee tape getting released! “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |
