He provided no evidence to back that assertion, and I didn't see anything to support or refute that. If we assume that the percentage of people who have never heard of Jesus has only gone down, then the total number of people who have never heard of Jesus over the past 2000 years must be higher than 32% "Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts." You DON'T?? I only make the point in every other post why I did it. The POINT is, if there was a god, his religion is the worst possible way to reach the people it was intended for. In the last 2000 years he missed 80% of the people who lived on the planet. That's called abysmal failure. If Xtionity is soooooo important, if it involves your mortal soul and is a life and death situation, your god picked the worst message delivery system imaginable. He missed the vast majority of the planets inhabitants and continues to miss hundreds of millions today. So what does this say about the validity of your religion. It puts it directly into the toilet as far as any god being involved. The only way for this to have worked is to have a Jesus born into every culture on earth, constantly, over and over, so every person had a chance. If a god wanted his message to reach everyone, if it's as deadly important as you say it is, he would have found a way to deliver it. But of course it isn't important at all, it's a fiction dreamed up by men. The best part of it is, you cannot see that. To me it's clear as a bell, to you all you see is what you've been taught. You'll shrug all this off and have some silly excuse as to why the message missed the vast majority of the population. Reason and logic cannot enter into your thinking, if it could you would find another profession. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

To be fair, I have to ask if you have any evidence to back up that assertion, and now what further evidence you came across to revise it from your original assertion of 90% "Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts." The numbers are really unimportant, pick one. 50% to 95%. The point is, no real god would have concocted such a poor message delivery system for a life and death message they say is as important as this one. So the only logical conclusion, and there really is only one, is that it's a man made myth. A real god would have had a foolproof plan so everyone on earth would have heard the message from the death of Jesus onward. And there obviously was no such plan. Word of mouth isn't a plan, it's no better than random chance, which is exactly how it worked out. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Just take the first 1500 years. How many never heard of Jesus, 95% of the world? No real god would come up with a shoddy plan like that. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I don't know it seems kind of effective to me. Much more so than anything I know of. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

Of course, that's what you get paid to say. To somebody on the outside, it looks like what it is. A slipshod word of mouth haphazard method to spread the word as slowly as possible. No god would come up with such a crappy plan, that leaves out the majority of the people it was supposed to reach. I'm sorry to be blunt, but this religion is a joke. Jesus starts out with a message that the kingdom of god is near, get ready. It will happen any day, well within your lifetime. He gets a group of ragtag teen boys to follow him around, and eventually gets put to death for being a pest. A myth grows around him, stories of his exploits are invented, words he never said are passed around, the urban legends grow into a religion as the centuries pass. A greed driven church is formed that grows and grows by confiscating the property of the weak pagan religions. And here we are today, being told we have to take all this obvious nonsense seriously. The whole concept of Jesus is an insult to any rational, reasonable person. It belongs in a book about all the other ancient myths, right alongside the guy pushing the boulder up the hill forever. But hey, some people are still buying and you're still selling, as long as there is a market you've got a job. That's all that should matter to you. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
