Western young men are becoming less and less interested in women because of radical feminism and young women that aren't feminists are wondering why they aren't being pursued by males. The guys are becoming more content in a virtual world, playing sports, video games and living "at home". Sexodus.

This deserves a thread of it's own.

Men are learning really early now the truth
about women. They are very hard to get
along with. It used to be they would hide
that fact during the courting process,
and let it come out after they were married.

But now they seem to be hitting guys with
it so early that young men are giving up
on them. They're seeing that sex is all the
women offer, and putting up with all their
crap to get it just isn't worth it.

Big mistake ladies, all the good men will be
taken when you decide to settle down and
rein your bad asses in. You'll be stuck with
the nerds and the douches, which is what
you deserve.

At about 40 I started to see women were
mostly boring and tedious, and I haven't
changed my opinion. How can men seeing
the truth early be a bad thing.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

I think maybe AZ may have mentioned this before, MGTOW? I looked it up tonight after viewing this short, informative video.

I am admittedly not with the times and goings on of this gen, however I perceive some things? One is I have grand kids in grade school and it was remarked to me of the effeminization of many of the boys and roll playing in even the 1st grade of stereotypical male/female rolls.

Guys have been beat down for years for looking at female bodies, and are tired of it. Especially with porn 24/7, and a virtual social life. All this crappy tv with phony rolls and every gal thinking she's "all that".

I think this video depicts some reality which I hadn't given much thought. From the financial news that I read, I have loosely followed some statistics and it is around 25-30% of young people still living with their parents.

Times are changing [still]. When I was young [sorry for the cliche], I couldn't wait to get my own place and rules and let my life run it's course. The economy has went way down, and many younger people can't afford to move out on their own it they want to. At least, that is the buzz that reports are made from.

Japan has a severely declining birth rate and many of the age group aren't even dating, nor want the traditional married lives, with kids. Also with their preference for non integration [hows that for pc], there culture is doomed.

What is in it for men in the new social contract?

I'd just as soon the birth rate decline. Does the world need 8 billion people and more? Duggar families with their unlimited child-fest are no heroes to me.

(Although it is technically hard on the social programs.)

No, the world doesn't need any of us. It was just a point of interest. Japan made some great products though. Their culture worked for them for a long time. Central banking puts the burden of the non productive onto the future, which doesn't see the value in supporting it anymore either.

We are all do for an epic change.

What little I know of the reference, those people are of zero value or interest to me. It baffles me that people would actually watch that stuff on television. Are they supposed to have done something for the world? IDK, I've only seen blips of them which I didn't click on.

Unfortunately, those are the people that
end up running the world. Catholics and
Baptists and Mormons that encourage
large families. And Muslims. The smart
people, the ones that should be having
the kids, often have none at all. It's
a real shame.

In a great many age and social groups, its not sex but dating and commitments that are being avoided.

Boston had its "mixers"... huge events for college and grad students. Shopping perhaps for Mr. Right but not naive enough to overlook Mr. Right Here. Then it became common for students to acknowledge that law school or medical school had required an investment in time and energy and that there was no time for a social life, so the girl was seeking a "lets just take care of each other's basic biological needs without any time wasting preliminaries or time consuming entanglements". Sure some of these relationships wound up as marriages but most wound up as simply what they were. Friends with Benefits. You looked for Mr. Right but you slept with 'a few regulars' who took care of your needs and then you hit the books.

Women who want to date now, find that men prefer the "no commitments; no teasing" situations.

With women often making really good money, its probably more efficient to use computers and date finders.

Ron Wood, of the Rolling Stones. You think he's complaining about young women?

he'd just get a new one probably. Same reason Hefner never really complains. His ex-girlfriends do, but you don't hear much from him, he just moves on.

I have read about declining birth rates and it is part of why I feel humans have <1,000 years left on the planet. Then we will be gone.

The world will be at zero population growth in a few decades with many societies already there. Growth has been parabolic the last 200 years. Instead of population just staying flat, I see a parabolic fall, as happens in nature. It is what is not nature that will make it impossible to recover from.

Wealthy nations will have the fall first at the same time as low education nations keep booming. More poor folks to care for and less people to care for the aging more wealthy nations. At first it will have benefits, like less costly housing. Later we will have ghost towns as there is simply no need for vast tracts of cities. Look at Detroit and Gary to see what it will look like.

Eventually there will be more poverty as the system of more population/more sales is completely broken. When decline starts to snowball it will be 100 years or more before social norms of child rearing change. Like 4-6 kids was not what was best in the 1960s but many families were this size, you will need more than 1-2 but having more will be socially "weird."

When so much population goes the cities will fall apart and the cycle will get out of hand.

Back to the OT. I never wanted kids and was barely interested in being married. See little benefit and like alone time. I am not normal in that way. But neither am I alone.

As to the broader group of men, well, men have been beaten on for near 50 years in the USA. Feminists think us useless other than as sperm donors. Media sees revenue in making fun of men acting like men. The whole "rape culture" think on campus scares the average guy to death. We are seeing what is bound to happen. Guys figuring that getting laid isn't worth it. Feminists, enjoy--you have gotten what you have asked for!

That is the thrust of the movie Idiocracy, that looks at life in the year 2505, after many generations of the intelligent choosing to not reproduce. Great movie premise -- but just an average movie -- at best.
