You know what? Just forget it. I told myself I wasn't going to get sucked into these circular discussions again. I'll leave the post here since I did go and say it and post it, but other than that? I'm sick of it. I'm tired of all of the flawed arguments and faulty logic.

FrG seems to think if he repeats the same
things over and over, it will somehow make
what he's saying true. Bottom line is, no
evidence for a god, no god. If there was
a god, he would send better spokesmen
with real evidence. There would be no
doubt in anybodies mind. We would all
hunker down in fervent prayer and wait
for the end. I don't even see the really
religious doing that, quite the opposite,

It means that you can't keep claiming that all knowledge has to be proven by the scientific method, which of course no rational person would claim.

No I can't prove other religions aren't true it in the same way I could prove the Pythagorean theorem. However, the question here is the existence of God and nothing you say above or have ever said is evidence or proof for the claim that there is no God. I can show, and have, that the evidence points to the existence of God. You continue to want to gloss over that and talk about our conceptions of God.

Ha, you are exactly saying that the lack of evidence is proof that God doesn't exist. I'm glad you are willing to poke fun at yourself for saying that. I take this as you concede the point that lack of evidence does mean there is evidence of non-existence. I hope you will be going one step further and either provide evidence for your claim that there is no God.

You obviously have a different view on what
is evidence and what is not. The rest of us
require real evidence. As I've said many
times, the Church has a murky history
with knowing real evidence when they
see it. They were convinced dried up crops
and stillborn babies were 'evidence' of
a witches spell. So convinced that they
murdered the poor women in hideous
ways. Now the Church has 'evidence'
of god. Luckily for us we can see
it for what it is and not have to worry
about being punished when we ask for
real evidence instead.

And you would be wrong and creating a straw man. All I'm saying is that it is not incontrovertible proof that there is no God, which seems to be what you and Evenbob are saying.
