I did not know the numbers, but they are what I would have expected. SEC will not do anything as it is not sexy stuff. I just don't get how it was ever allowed. Classic Agency Problem. The President is a fink. |

You're right, by automobile standards, they're still a small player. A comparison: in 2009, Mazda was making about 4,000 vehicles per week.
They'll figure it out. Shipping challenges can be solved. The much scarier problem is their $10 billion debt. |

Pretty sad that the U.S. doesn't have one luxury car on the list. (Other than Tesla). At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

IIANM, the other day I saw what I think was a new Cadillac, we both said blech. But his being the last refuge of classic cars, I can still tell what make and year most muscle cars are at a distance. SUVs are where it is at. The way they make them now they handle like cars, but once you see the U in them as well as the ride height you are hooked. Cars of up until the mid 50s rode at more or less the same height as today's SUVs. The magic in cars is long gone. A few people want handling of a BMW, but the rest of us just see more and more cars that all look alike. Then add in that most manufacturers at the high end just name them as if assigning a SKU number. What is there to get excited about? While in my younger days I wanted a Cadillac, today any SUV of the right size is all I care to have. The President is a fink. |
