Another great Chernobyl episode
The horror of the fire fighters painful downward spiral to death due to intense radiation
Just horrible.
They spent a lot of time on the little known heroic coal miners tasked with building a tunnel underneath the reactor
Total heroic bad asses
I'll take a 100 Russian coal miners over a thousand unsullied any day
I loved how officials know you cant BS coal miners. You have to be totally straight with these guys on the dangers

Official "We start digging tomorrow"
Coal miner "We start immediately. I don't want my people here any longer then they have to be"

We really should start threads for

HBO recommendations (or pans)
PRIME recommendations (or pans)

so that readers don't get so confused.

Or maybe change the name of the thread to Streaming recommendations (or pans)
We don't really have a ton of readers compared to the WOV board

After Chernobyl is over, thinking about checking out the premium youtube channel
I've heard good stuff about the new Karate Kid series.

Youtube Premium is primarily an audio service with a handful of good series.

I watched "Impulse" , American drama web television series based on the novel by Steven Gould.
It was made in a feature film a while back which pretty much sucked, so the series was better. But series for young people are very heavy on the social justice stuff (#MeToo, etc.).

The horror of the

The horror of Jared Harris playing
a Russkie, how ridiculous. He's as
English as it gets. The whole show
sounds dumb if all the Russians
have English accents.

Good Omens on Prime. A story about
the end of times from the book of
Revelations in the NT. The first
3 ep's are entertaining. Good
acting, great productions values.

The story starts to get just plain
silly in the final 3. Rubbish by'the
end, I couldn't wait for it to be done.
There was a book, apparently and
it followed the book accurately.
So it gets good reviews, and some
really really bad ones.

Great production values and expensive animations do NOT make up for the utter banal stupidity that prevents one from suspending disbelief. It is asinine even by comic book standards . I'd give it ZERO stars if that was an option. One star is FAR too many.

So this is the old Netflix thread? Where were
we informed of this.

Netflix is making a Breaking Bad movie
with Aaron Paul and some of the BB cast.
All the interesting characters are dead,
I can't imagine it will be any good.

Didn't hear this one. Will it be in the future? You gonna enter the "Win a Blind Date with Skylar" contest this time?
