If they were extraterrestrials with that kind of power, you'd want to treat them as gods and do what they say anyway.

What else do we believe using this requirement you have laid down for God of teleportation or other outward sign?

What does being able to do these things have anything to do with being God or not?

1) You assume there is an atheist ideology encoded in the belief that there is no god. This is simply not the case. There are organized atheist groups who may hold any of a number of different ideologies, but that's a different matter. Atheism is not a religion. There is no atheist ideology like there is a Christian ideology.

Exactly, it is nothing and empty.

2) You keep trying to determine how atheists can do religion without believing in god. The answer is simple: most of us don't do religion, period.

Wrong. Human beings are religious beings. We all find something to worship or adore, many times it is ourselves.

It would be, if it were what you make it out to be. You're like a degenerate gambler visiting, say, Hawaii, and declaring there is nothing to do because there are no casinos.

How do you figure that?

So you lay claim to all human spirituality in the name of Jehovah? or in the name of Jesus? That seems to be the only question, as the party of third part doesn't seem to have a name.

I worship and adore nothing.

There are many people I admire, many more I look up to, even more I respect. But literally worship or adore, none. Certainly not myself. While self-esteem is a good quality to have, self-worship is nothing but narcissism.

Huh? You asked what would make people believe in God.

I'm saying - simply appearing and talking to us - directly and clearly - would be a good start.

Oh I thought you were asking for some miracle or to come down from the cross and then I'll believe.

Speaking to us He does already and often. Appearing He has done already.

I concede. You win the outrageous metaphor contest.

Here's my runner up: How much would you expect to learn about philately among people who don't collect stamps?

No, things have happened that you attribute to him. The evidence is anything but clear and direct.

Surely asking for a personal appearance after 2000 years isn't too much to ask?

And logically, proof of identification would be required. After all, Jesus allegedly turned a miracle or two. I think even you wouldn't believe some man claiming to be the son of god without proof.

Except atheists aren't thirsty. Quite the opposite.
You are like a person who's color blind. Everywhere
you look everything is grey, black and white. There's
your way or no way. You take every square peg and
smash at it till it fits in the round hole of Christianity.
Which is what the Church has always done, of course.
Their way or no way.

Atheists are happy you have a religion, it's a quaint
oddity to us. You need it or you wouldn't be in it.
Atheists don't need it, and it's as simple as that. Look
no further for an explanation.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
