Nareed, that comparison makes no sense.

It's the exact same thing, only without the half a ton of rationalization your religion throws at things.

What did the Roman legionaries do to help Jesus? You'd think die-hard French royalists would use the guillotine as their symbol by your logic.

In all the drawings or paintings of Jesus, why is he always a white guy?

Because the Church was all white and the
artist was white. The Church was very racist
until the 18th century and they gradually
began to change. It wasn't until 1886 that
the first black priest was ordained in the US.
The Christian god is racist and homophobic,
because his followers were. Because there is
no god, he's exactly as prejudiced as his
congregation.

The beautiful thing is that as you travel to different parts of the world you see both Our Lord and His mother often potrayed in the garb and with the skin color of the people of the area. The Catholic Church, which means universal always saw the power and beauty of the Incarnation, God becoming one of us. We are all equal children of God.

It's just some are less equal than others.
Like Gays. They're equal as long as they
don't give in to the natural way Gays
have for sexual expression.

Nope, they are equal in every way including being encouraged to self control in regards to sexual acts just like unmarried heterosexuals would be. Also everyone is equal in regards to the loving forgiveness God offers. You would make a huge mistake if you thought the sexual acts of homosexuals was any worse than lying or not caring for the needy.

So a practicing Gay person can receive communion
in your Church? They are equal in every way, right?

Of course they can!

Of course this assumes like any person that receives Communion they are in a state of Grace. This means basically that they have not committed any serious sin they have not repented of.

That is a trick answer. Because Gay sex is a mortal
sin, they have make it right first, before they go
to communion. Which is admitting to a priest that
they did an immoral act that so offended god
that they have to be forgiven personally by one
of gods minions. They have to humiliate themselves
and basically beg forgiveness in order to take
communion.

I'm sitting here literally shaking my head, I'm so
appalled by this. Or that anybody would actually
do it. The shame and the guilt involved must be
overwhelming. But that's the intent of the Church.
A shamed and guilty congregation is one that you
have in the palm of your hand.

Don't kid yourself it is the shame and guilt we feel when we do something wrong, like have sex out of wedlock or use another person just for our own pleasure, that drives us to desire forgiveness. We want to feel good about ourselves, be reminded that we are wonderful and loved by God and that is why confession exists. Why do you think it is humiliating to ask for forgiveness? Have you ever done that? Did you experience the freedom and joy that come from being forgiven? There is nothing greater.

A congregation that feels the love of God and knows how wonderful they are in God's eyes is the one you want!!! They are free and happy and following the Lord at work and in their families. They participate in Liturgy and joyfully learn and spread the good news. A guilt and shamed person is in need of forgiveness and conversion. They are not happy and not able to evangelize and be who God is calling them to be. Guilt and shame put you in the hands of the devil, the Church is here to lift them up and free them from that!
