His final word is the Word made flesh, Jesus Christ.

That's not what the Muslims and, apparently, the Mormons say.

Not to mention every two-bit cult out there.

And surely a certain Fr. Luther might disagree, too.

I don't know what you mean about issuing holy books like hot cakes.

All holy books were inspired by the deity, no? The Koran, the Book of Mormon, the manifestos of every cult, you get the idea.

How come you rarely mention the return
of Jesus. My wife's Baptist family is
obsessed with it. They even make movies
and TV shows about it now. Any Bible
scholar will tell you the men who wrote
the NT obviously thought he was returning
in their lifetimes. 2000 years later the fantasy
lives on. He will come back and gather his
flock, the graves and tombs will fly open
and you will all go into the sky.

But wait, he already came back once. He rose
from the dead, and all the graves and tombs
of saints opened and they walked among the
people. Why would anybody think this would
all happen again a few years later, or ever, for
that matter. More superstitious silliness.

a special year of Mercy to experience it. There are so many things that go into what we would call mortal sin.

Why, is the Church having some kind of 'sin jamboree',
Two sins forgiven for the price of one? Will you be
selling indulgences again, you certainly need the money.
Will you be selling relics under the big tent? A splinter
from the cross in an 18 carat box for $500? Those were
the days, it's why Martin Luthor broke away, the selling
of indulgences sickened him.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

All I can say is that God does not send anyone to hell that does not choose to go there and I can also say that it is God's will that all will be saved.

So if your guy commands I love someone who's done nothing but cause me pain, grief and anguish, and I refuse to even contemplate this vile suggestion, I am choosing to go to hell.

And perhaps if I don't want people to attack me for being transgender, I shouldn't have been transgender.

it seems like your view of Christianity is hopelessly tainted by Christians who do not follow the teachings of the Church or the life of our Lord.

Yahweh has been very busy over the years,
the number of men he's inspired to write
his words down. Of course they all claim
to be the only true version, that's what
makes it fun for atheists.

Secular atheist churches have been springing
up for the last 30 years. There is a real secular
movement in this country and around the
world. More and more people are seeing how
sad and confused organized religion is, and
how much harm it does in peoples lives with
it's hate speech and bigotry against certain
people and lifestyles.

How many Monophisites, Arians, Nestorians, et cetera? Ten?

Maybe more, but talk about a non-sequitur. There have always been heresies and errors in thought, I wonder what your point is?

It is true that the Mormons and Muslims both think that God had more to say after Jesus Christ, the Mormons believe it is continuing still today.

Good old Martin Luther would completely agree with the Church that after the death of the Last Apostle we await no further revelation that supersedes or can add anything to the message or person of Jesus Christ.

Of course not, only the OT and the NT were inspired by God. The others are most certainly not inspired by God.

The entire month of November is dedicated to the "Last Things", namely death, judgment, hell, purgatory, and heaven. We are actually now in a new liturgical season of Advent where the first part is all about preparing for the second coming of Christ. His second coming will be in glory and will not be at all like the Resurrection and the miracles that accompanied that historic event.

That the church is as identical now as it was in 475 CE as the Roman Empire of that era is to that of today.

Oh, wait...

He seems to have had a revelation himself.
