How come it wasn't "found in the Bible" by previous Popes…?

This is what I kind of find amazing, what is Pope Francis saying other than we should love one another, care for the poor, etc. These things have been preached all the way back to the very first Pope Peter. Even our awful Popes preached this and then did the opposite. I think what people are reacting to is how authentically Pope Francis is preaching by his life, not that anything new was "found" in the Bible.

One of the rare greats in front of and behind the camera.
Loved him in front of the camera for the Great Escape and Jurrasic Park
Loved him behind the camera - Ghandi.

Wrong Attenborough....

OK now?

The pope has announced that the Church is
going after Global Warming this year, it's
the number one item on the agenda. Say
wha???

So the Pope has joined the Global Warming cult? Strange as he is not able to use GW to raise taxes and take away freedoms like most leaders who preach it. At least he will not be like most who tell us to change our lives while they live as large as ever, this Pope does seem to live as modest as you could expect him to and still do the job.
The President is a fink.

Somebody clued him in that GW is really
just redistribution of wealth, which is
all it's for.

Yeah, but GW redistributes from the lower to the upper classes, is the Pope for that?

Pretty good mouthings for a man whose country has completely collapsed financially, is suffering forty percent inflation, and where state prosecutors who accuse Al Presedante promptly "commit suicide". Heck, he got no choice but to say that and hope we swallow it.

The Pope has proved he's a Marxist (like we
didn't know already) by coming out as the
new superhero fighting Global Warming.
He rants and raves about unfettered capitalism
ruining the world, and the rich countries
have to share their wealth with all the poor
countries they've ruined by making the
planet warmer. Of course this is pure bullcrap,
there has been a cooling period for the last
10 years and it's not going away. My guess is
the Pope will be in the next Avengers movie,
as the Crusading Pontiff.

Smart move on his part. Global Warming is a religion. It even has old-school indulgences available for purchase to those who believe in it but do not want to actually give up anything for that cause.

Yes, it's tailor made for the Church. It
gives the S American pope a soap box
to preach from on the evils of capitalism.
Argentina is one of those loony countries
that loves being broke from socialism all
the time. Francis is a good socialist who
delights is trying to wrench money away
from 'greedy capitalists' to support the
people of Argentina who are too stupid
to keep people in power that would do
them some good.
