Why have other band members when you can do it all yourself?

“Perfidia”, by the Mexican composer Alex Dominguez, with lyrics that read like a Neruda poem, is featured in the Spanish film “Live Twice, Love Once” on Netflix.

Bocelli singing it bolero, in Porto Fino.

I like samples, because f#$% Lars Ulrich. It's good to see old standards given new life. Grooves are eternal; sometimes a tweak of the lyrics is all that's needed to make an old classic into a modern hit.

Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it.

March 3, 1931. Frances Scott Key's lyrics, using the melody of a British drinking song, became the national anthem.

Laura & Anton make some pretty bizarre videos (almost little horror movies), but here they are singing a straightforward "La Vie En Rose".

Although the song was written for a woman (Edith Piaf) four different men recorded it in English in 1950 Tony Martin, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, and Louis Armstrong.
In the same year, 1950, three different instrumental versions also charted: Paul Weston, Ralph Flanagan, and Victor Young.

Scary video
