And After Dark, My Sweet. This has great performances by Jason Patric, Rachel Ward, and again Bruce Dern.

Very good movie, so faithful to the book.
My understanding is it was filmed in 1984 and on location at the same area that the book took place.

Another good movie.
The Seven-Ups
One of my favorite cop / ganster mafia movies. Great car chase scene, right up there with Bullitt
Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World"

And very hard to find. I caught in a theater in the late 80s and have not seen it since.

Did anyone see "Idiocracy"? It's not that good, though it has its points, but I like it because I'm sure it's based on Cyril Kornbluth's "The Marching Morons."

A rather good half movie, that is I really liked the first half, was "What Dreams May Come." Once the plot goes, literally (for once), to Hell, things aren't nearly as good.

How about a Robin Williams film... The Fisher King. It did moderately well at the box office, and Mercedes Ruehl won an Oscar for best supporting actress, but it didn't really have the legs over the years. Worth a watch.
