As long as I was this close, I had to get to 100,000 points.

I could keep going but it would be mundane for a long time, and I don't think I'll ever get to the 16,384 tile. I truly have no good excuse to keep playing this thing. However, somehow, I can't close that browser window.

My daughter challenged me to this game about 3 months ago on my Iphone. I have no problem getting to 2048, but run out of interest. Glad that there are several people more OCD than me.

I work up, not down.

My daughter introduced me to this game as well. She got to the 4,096 tile so naturally I had to top that.

That a Dad!!! Nothing like killing your kid's self-esteem by proving you're better. ;)

My daughter's high score is higher than mine, and we hit them on the same day. We were working on high scores independently without knowing each other was playing, about 2 months after she told me about the game.

That is what my dad with me. He never let me win at chess. However, it gave me an objective to strive for. I played against the Atari 2600 chess game every day until I was able to play at his level and I eventually beat him. That day he gave me his chess set and said that he would never play again, and he didn't.

Yeah, my Dad killed my self-esteem pretty much by ignoring me and questioning every move I ever did. But that's a story for my therapist. At least you showed interest in your daughter's interest, and that's saying something!!!

I'm sorry to hear that. There is a fine line somewhere between challenging your kids to never being satisfied. My dad was tough to please too, but when my brother completely rebelled, it took a lot of pressure off me.

By the way, I never told my daughter I outdid her. I'm not saying I won't, but haven't seen the reason to so far.

Which brother? More family drama, please. :)

I told you when we met at Harrah's that I knew your brother through a friend in Northern Michigan. That is beautiful country up there.
