They cleverly put teens as "children." Teen gangbangers being shot and people think it is a 6 year old being shot. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

And this is only in Chicago.. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Even NY and NJ, where the Dems hold a super veto-proof majority, still refuse to pass any tough gun legislation. A law that would have stopped these latest two mass killers from obtaining their weapons legally, would require anyone purchasing a gun to show proof of liability insurance. 18 year old: " I'll take two AR-15's and ten boxes of rounds" "Sure. Do you have proof of liability insurance?" The Dem. NJ Governor proposed this law, but his Democrat led State Senate and Assembly rejected the proposal. No state requires proof of financial responsibility for gun purchases. They require it for motor vehicle drivers, but not for gun owners. San Jose passed nation's 1st law requiring gun owners to have liability insurance |

Did the person or entity stating that guns were not allowed at Trump’s speech provide a list of events were a former or current President under the protection of the Secret Service spoke and guns were allowed? In wrestling, they call that line a “cheap pop”… |

| odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 165 Posts: 6377 | This latest shooter plus the Buffalo shooter are of a type we will see more of, and here's why, we don't want ineffective gun control laws, or our guns taken away, this includes me as a society, we want everyone to have access to social media, including poor children* as a society, we don't care that access to social media is clearly bad for kids there's just a tiny percentage of young people who will see these kinds of shootings as a glorious thing they can share on social media I don't think these two were cases of mental illness, in the normal sense. Just evil. Yes I agree we would still have some mass shootings under old media, newspapers, TV, radio, but it would be much much less and extemely rarely done by this age group * I can't begin to tell you how foreign spending that much every month on every child, rich or poor, is to my own upbringing I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

Maybe the thought is that at least it would slow someone down. Possibly, but not a certainty. Make gun laws. The ones that are out there are already broken regularly. Why would new ones be obeyed? Will prosecutors do their jobs? Look at NYC. You have to have a person interested in law and order in charge of…law and order. Perhaps we also address the other issues…but we likely won’t. |

When that happens, the insurance companies are required to notify the state, and the uninsured's vehicle registration is suspended. If a gun owner was required to have liability insurance, and cancelled or allowed their insurance to lapse, the state could send police to conflate their weapons. They should also limit the number of weapons a person can purchase over a period of time. Most states, including NY and NJ, follow the federal law that allows bulk purchases, with no limit on the number of guns that can be purchased in a given time period |
