The former POTUS candidates simply picked the best available person. They never said "I am going to pick a white person."

Biden outright said that skin color and gender were the basis for his pick.

Meanwhile your side called Trump the racist while your guy just sees skin color.

And learn history. We have only had 45 different presidents. The first ones did not pick their VP.

Really have to go by when we freed the slaves.

They pick the person who will help them win, which is not necessarily the most qualified. So, yes, they don’t play fair when you put someone in there who fits your demographic as opposed to real qualifications.

Hardly ever does “the best available person” get chosen for VP. It all comes down to politics.

The VP pick is ALWAYS someone who ticks some boxes that the presidential nominee doesn’t. Was Pence the best available person in 2016? Hell no! He helped evangelical righties feel more comfortable voting for a heathen as scummy as Donny.
