When he began as a cartoonist and indeed included objectionable cartoons, it was at the same time OK for Al Jolson to sing about his Mamie in blackface. Not just OK, madly popular. The radio show was so popular that they stopped movies to play it lest people not see the show. The TV show was very funny and not one bit racist. Just people acting foolish. The one I remember the Kingfish sold Andy a fake house, just the front, to get rid of land he thought was worth a fortune but was not. Andy did not realize he had been taken even after he "went inside." Then he suckered Amos right back. Curiously, the guy Andy sent to the Kingfish was some big real estate guy but also black, which would be unusual for the era. Someone has to tell me what is racist about it some day. Social media is already deleting posts that don't pass the thought police. I guess you changed your mind about Trump having his tweets deleted. I expect that videos are already being deleted from youtube but I don't watch it much so wouldn't know. Will it start happening if it isn't now? I guarantee it will.
