so I can say I sometimes try to avoid making youtube an 'echo chamber of my own views' as tends to happen, I watched a video where a climate scientist answered questions live

the guy had an echo chamber in his own head. Complete adherence to the narrative to the point of parody ... of course who knows how they chose him.

I keep saying that governments are listening to crackpots claiming that we can switch to green energy by snapping our fingers. It'd be nice for sure, even if you don't think there's a climate crisis, all you have to be is against pollution

Yet I see confirmation about the crackpots growing, do you? ... so I don't hear more echoes, dispute these things

Ford Motor Company warns investors its electric vehicle division will lose $4.5 billion in 2023;

China has commissioned another 50 GW of new coal-fired electricity generation capacity;

[Brits backing] away from absurdly aggressive transition timelines amid public outcry over rising energy bills and other deprivations;

The German government continuing to reactivate mothballed coal plants and facilitating new mining for coal;

The Scottish government forced to admit it has facilitated the felling of 16 million trees in this century to make way for new wind farms;

The Japanese government moving to reinvigorate its own coal-fired power sector;

Global demand for crude oil rapidly growing and outpacing supply growth, surprising all the supposed experts;

The U.S. Department of Energy forced to admit its initial estimate of consumer “savings” from converting from gas stoves to more expensive electric models was grossly overstated.

Every EV maker is so far behind Tesla that they may never catch up. I expect eventually most of the other EV makers will be licensing technology from Tesla.

That's a good quote.

Have they placed a number of fatalities on climate change yet?

I disagree on being the biggest scam in modern time.

It comes in about third or fourth.

I'm not sure because I'd have to study along those lines.

The largest scam in modern time is Covid, by far.

Eventually, the facts will get out and a bunch will go to prison.

Fauci might be the first.

The planet had its warmest July on record “by a long shot” — and very likely also had its warmest-ever month in 174 years of record-keeping — according to NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The striking data, presented Monday by scientists from both agencies, indicate that last month smashed Earth’s previous July record by more than one-third of a degree Fahrenheit — a figure that may seem small but represents a staggering leap in the context of global records.

“Last month was way, way warmer than anything we’ve ever seen,” Sarah Kapnick, NOAA’s chief scientist, said Monday in a news briefing, adding that July is typically the planet’s warmest month of the year. Given that, “it’s very likely that July 2023 was hotter than any month in any year since at least 1850,” she said.

And all over the climate warming skeptic universe will be mentioning “one-third” as being nothing of course.

We might should prepare for the next little ice age.

Like citizens receive incentive money for buying gasoline cars.

So we don't freeze in the future.

Of course, the severity of the Little Ice Age, which lasted from the early 14th century through the mid-19th century, was not a deep freeze like the long ice ages of the ancient past.

'being nothing' is not something I would say

but you won't like this: NASA and the UN climate programs both are suspect in terms of being compromised by politics and thus having an agenda

NOAA I havent considered one way or another, hadn't heard them sound off before

who knows what they mean. Are we just now catching up to the 1930s , or are those times even part of the "record" they are talking about
