Was wondering if anybody else does this. I was gonna post pics but I guess the formatting codes are over my head.

Over the last 30 years I have traveled all over the country. Pics of my travel are few however since I didn't buy a digital camera until maybe 10 years ago. I do have pics of my favorite road warriors though. I'll just need to figure out how to post them. I can post links to Photobucket but haven't figured out how to post the pic directly.

Just put [image= before putting in the link, then close the bracket once the link is in.

My favorite bike. 2000 CBR1100XX Super Blackbird in full dress mode. I like it so much I bought a matching F150.

I have a thing for Honda Blackbirds. I've owned 3 so far with over 250K miles accumulated between the three. The best all around bike I've ever seen. Small enough to whip through traffic, yet big enough to put bags on and travel comfortably. This is my 98 which was the second year. The fastest production bike until 99 when the Hyabusa was released. My 97 is my favorite and I have pics here somewhere. Searching.

My 97 Blackbird. I have better pics at home on my PC. But this is in Fort Davis, Texas a few years ago.

I have also had other bikes which were nice too.

1997 Honda ST1100A which had ABS and traction controll.

1994 BMW K1100LT which was a great bike. Had a five gallon auxiliary tank on the back with a range of 400 miles between gas stops. BMW loyalists hated the horns, which is why I mounted them.

And....I've even had some Harleys.

1991 FLT which I took through a mud hole. For some reason.

1989 FLHTCU

1989 FLHS with me and my Granddaughter, who is 16 now. Kind of a shitty pic but the only one I have of us together on a bike.

This one is kinda sad. I inherited this from a good friend when he died. I had to go through this thing and almost completely rebuild it as it was in terrible shape. But when I was finished it looked presentable. I even mounted horns on it since they really matched his personality.

1996 FLHTC

The same bike as above when David was still alive. I'm #1 with him. He was a good friend. I can't ride it, it's too hard. But I start it to keep things lubed.

Thanks for sharing the pics Red. Your pal David really seemed like a special character! I'm sure he appreciates your caring for his ride (but may be pissed that you took off all his stickers..hehe)

I used to have a CBR600 back in the pre-kid days, and the $4 gallon gas has got me thinking about getting back on a bike as a daily commuter. However, I recall how hard it was on my back to ride a "sport" bike like the CBR, and am looking into something with a more vertical rider position. Do you have any experience on, "TransAlp", dual sport style bikes, like the Honda NX700?
