If gods offended by my actions, he's not much
of a god. I know this because I'm not much of a
god either. Sin makes no sense.

Your argument doesn't make sense. If I offend my father by my actions how does that make him not much of a father? In fact it would seem that the more loving father you have the more he would be offended by your actions if there were evil.

Saying a god is your father is the ultimate
in hubris. That would make you a god also,
which you are not. Gods are above being
offended, they aren't people. If they existed
at all, which they don't. If I were to invent
a god, I'd certainly want one who was above
pettiness and had a sense of humor. The
god in the Bible is petty and grim.

It depends. Is your father omnipotent?

What's funny is, if I believed in the Bible
god, I would be forced to believe in other
lessor gods also, it makes logical sense.

In the movie Ghost Busters, when they
meet the god in the end, it's first question
is "Are you a god?" In the context of the
movie and it's reality, a perfectly reasonable
question. If there is one god, there absolutely
has to be others. No way around it.

No it means I would be made in His image and likeness.

Can you explain your reasoning here a little bit more?

My father made another 'him', another person.
Saying god is your father, it means he made
another god, like himself. That's what fathers
do. So much so that they are in his own image.
That makes you a god. Are you a god?

There were lots of gods before Yahweh was
promoted to the head honcho job of being
the one and only. Moses was so worried about
the other gods he even covered it with one
of the commandments. You shall have no other
gods before me. Yahweh had competition, gods
always do. So what happened to the other gods,
they just gave in and went away?

They never existed, of course, just like Yahweh
never existed. It's all superstition and myth. But
if you believe in Yahweh, you must believe there
are other gods as well. You have no choice.

These other "gods" are still around and alive as ever. They are competition to the one true God. They go by different names today: money, sex, power, fame, health, etc.

Naw, those are vices, not gods. Gods are actual
beings, they're active and alive. They're all a
myth, but they aren't common little human
foibles and vices.
