Ex Machina is not quite as fast as the trailer suggests, but you could say that about a lot of trailers. At the risk of giving too much away, I'm looking forward to a sequel already.

Yes, I do like robot and alien movies for the big questions they ask. This one is certainly no exception. Truly great science fiction.

I'll pay for your tickets if you can tell me with a straight face that you didn't like it.

With me that would be a very safe bet. I devoured the I Robot stories when I was 12 years old.

Watched "Horns"

Took me a while to decide that I liked it.

It is a dark, disturbing supernatural murder mystery starring Daniel Ratcliff.

Since it was so dark and disturbing it took a while for me to feel ok about liking it.

Odd Thomas (2013) goes well with Horns.

I've seen Odd a couple times. Don't like the
ending, way to melodramatic for what is
a comedic movie. Good movie other than
that..

The movie had a $27 million budget. There was a lawsuit that says another $35m+ should have been spent to make it a theatrical release.

You wonder about the economics. It sounds like the film would have needed to make over $150-$200 million in worlld wide boxoffice to justify the theatrical release. If they stay with the $27 million production budget, you wonder how profitable it is to release it straight to Netflix.I assume that it is no better than break even, but I could be wrong.

Addison Timlin is the grand niece of my brother's business partner. He and his wife watched her on Showtime's Caliifornication when she was still a teenager . Some church going people in their 70's can't watch these shows, they are so shocked.

Some scenes made me laugh.

You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Has anyone seen Tomorrowland? Is it worth the price of admission?

These days I'd settle for that. never mind the over-inflated price for popcorn and a soda.
