As the star and a producer, I wonder how much of that went to Cruise.

I saw one list that ranked him #3
Jerry Seinfeld — $860 million.
Shah Rukh Khan — $550 million. ...
Tom Cruise — $480 million. ...
Tom Hanks — $470 million. ...
Johnny Depp — $440 million. ...
Mel Gibson — $400 million. ...
Tyler Perry — $400 million. ...
Jack Nicholson — $400 million. ..

VICE

Christian Bale does a damn good Dick Cheney.

The movie is exactly as anti-Cheney as you would expect. It’s also quite funny.

We lose muscle mass as we age,
believe me, I know. Your 40's
are your peak, it's downhill after
that.

At what are do you go from "middle aged" to just being old?

It declines every year. I laughed at the
commercials where the woman falls
and cries out, "I've fallen and I can't
get up!" But it's no joke, she can't
get up because she's lost so much
muscle.

If I were you, I'd be getting as much
done now, in your 50's, because in
10 years your ability will be cut in
half. Make a bucket list and do the
hard ones first.

Not sure where that line is. But the line from old to finally losing it is when you think the nurse is leaning in close for a kiss when she's just trying to get your bag o' bones out of bed for your daily stumble around the nursing home corridor.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Saw a video that said the 3 things that
will get you thrown into a nursing home
are any combo of these:

Falling down a lot

Incontinence

Failing memory

Get two of these and you're a goner.

Before laughing at that, everyone should lie flat on the floor and then get up. Unless you are indisputable young, even if you find it no problem, you still probably notice that there is a certain point at which you exert some strength to get it done. Evidently this "point" just keeps getting to be a bigger and bigger part of the exercise as you get older.

I'm happy to say I pass this test easily. However, doing it had me hone the technique a bit, whereas in days of yore I didn't give technique a thought.

I always laugh at those life alert "I've fallen and I can't get up!" commercials. Not because the premise is inherently funny, but the acting by the old person on the floor is always so bad.

I just watched The Cabin in the Woods

Somehow this movie has a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes -- as of this moment, it is #2 on my all time worst movies list
The top honor going to Paul Blart 2

The Cabin in the Woods was nonsensical and not even one of those movies where it is so bad it is good - it is just bad
