They are both mentioned, but not seen. I loved the ending, but others may have a different opinion since this film is the culmination of a decades worth of films. It runs almost 2.5 hours, so go easy on the huge slurpees or you are going to miss something important. Be sure to stay all the way though the credits. The bonus footage at the very end of the reel is important.

Miss something important is a super
hero movie? Isn't that kind of an
oxymoron? I've seen 4-5 of these
movies and if you offered me
a millions bucks I couldn't tell
you what even one of them was
about. They have plots?

The plot is usually to save the world from a super villain.

One character has a movie which took over the original Black Panther premier date in July. So he should make out from all the Marvel hype in the last year. Conventional wisdom was that a blockbuster was impossible to have a February premier with Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" being the exception because of Easter, But then Fox's Deadpool was a February hit in 2016, so they slid Black Panther before Infinity War.

Black Panther had a small role in Captain America's Civil War in the summer of 2016. As his introduction movie not only was moved before infinity War, it surprised everyone by becoming one of their biggest hits. As Infinity War and Black Panther were both filmed during the same time (early 2017) there was no way to increase Black Panther's role in Infinity Wars.

The second character undergoes a traumatic transition in the comic books. As Fox's Logan featuring a darker transformed Wolverine was an R rated hit, there are rumors that he was deleted from this feel good movie so that he could make his own darker (possibly R rated) movie. As the actor became famous playing Staff Sergeant William James in an R Rated film, he is likely to meet or exceed Logan's boxoffice return.

Marvel R Rated superhero movies (worldwide gross in millions)
Deadpool Fox $783.1 2016 (Production Budget: $58 million)
Logan Fox $619.0 2017 (Production Budget: $97 million)
Punisher: War Zone LGF $10.1 2008
The Punisher Lions $54.7 2004
Blade: Trinity NL $128.9 2004
Blade II NL $155.0 2002
Blade NL $131.2 1998

The idea of a big budget R rated comic book movie seems initially to have died with Watchmen in 2009 (Production Budget: $130 million), but Logan seems to have worked because Wolverine had been in six PG-13 movies over a previous 17 years. The audience grew up with the character and were prepared to see him an R rated film.

The Las Vegas Story
Turner Classic Movies.
Any repeats? Any online availability.

Not much of a story but the backgrounds might be enjoyable to ancient and doddering old geezers like me. I was undergoing the remnants of a sugar jag so I didn't really notice soon enough some of the signage about the limits on craps and blackjack that was painted on the wall outside the Last Chance casino. Might be of historical interest though.

Just watched The Disaster Artist. This is the movie about the making of one of the worst movies of all time, The Room. The movie was so bad, it's good, in a funny way, like Plan 9 from Outer Space.

Let me give proper credit first. James Franco seemingly did an outstanding job playing Tommy Wiseau, who made The Room. He even looks a great deal like him with make up and long hair. At the end they show side by side clips from Disaster Artist and Room, and they got it amazing close.

However, Tommy Wiseau was not a likable person in any way. His only redeeming quality was determination and passion. Then again, you could say the same thing about Tony in Scarface, and I love that movie. However, it was rather painful watching the making of The Room as you just knew it was going to be a steaming pile of #$%@ when finished. He seemed to have good actors for the movie, an unlimited budget, and a good crew, but Tommy alone ruined it. So, yes, kind of difficult to watch.

In the end, I felt like it was like watching a train wreck, hard to look away. I kept pausing the movie just to get some relief but was pulled back in like a magnet.

I can't recommend this movie to a wide audience but maybe some people interested in the craft of movie making would like it. Would I watch it again? No. Given what the movie was about, they did a great job. I'll let you decide if it is right for you.

Geeks seem to have liked that Plan 9 movie, they named an operating system after it.

Where did you watch it? It's only in a handful of theaters left in the country, and it is not yet available on Netflix or HBO etc.

You can still get those? Why would you
want the hassle. If I can't stream it on
Nflix or Prime I don't need it.
