I make my chili with a tomato sauce base and I put Frito's in the chili when I eat it.

What I did was pulverize some fritos and use them to coat burgers. I went with a creamy mushroom sauce, which was quite good.

This week I did the same, but with ground chicken (why?) and tomato sauce.

What oil does everybody use to cook?
I use the cheapest stuff I can find at Costco
Kirkland Signature Olive Oil, Refined Olive Oil and 15% extra virgin olive oil

Try grape oil or macadamia nut oil or acorn oil. If you do use olive oil, use a higher quality olive oil.
Unfiltered EV olive oil is best, then filtered EV olive oil.
You do not want refined olive oil as its been heated and had vitamin E removed. It is more rancid and having had tiny bits of olives removed it lacks the phytonutrients that are so valuable for cardiovascular health.

There is a good deal of mislabeling of olive oil.

Try adding even just one tablespoon of water, it lowers the temperature and therefore the amount of oxidation of the double bonds in the oil. Cooking in water is better than oil anyway.

Remember listless sailors suffering from scurvy was not the result of lack of fresh foods but more attributable to the consumption of rancid fats. Refined oil is therefore not healthy.

Mostly whatever's left from samples at the office. Currently this means largely soy and corn oil.

For some things I use specific other types. For pasta I use olive oil. For some oriental-style dishes I use sesame seed oil.

How do you use up a whole bag of apples at once? would sliced apples stored under lemon juice do it?

How about a whole bag of potatoes?

PS: I still recommend lavender with potatoes despite its being a mild endocrine disruptor and estrogen stimulant.

Anyone use Ashwaghanda on potatoes? I still use difuranylol methane because its cheaper but I'd like to upgrade to Ashwaghanda.

Home canned pie filling was my grandmothers choice.

These days pie filling is nothing but flavored sugar.
One advantage of "Big Data" ... Apple pie slipped to fourth place when individual thirteen inch pies started to become available.
