LOL, I can't make this shit up.

*sips coffee, pets mechanical cat, awaits the next stupid move from the fat oaf*

The douchnozzle currently careening behind the tiller of the Ship of State still denies the reality of climate change and implies that the wildfires are the fault of Canada.

Such stunning idiocy should not go unremarked upon.

Tariffs again. Yawn.

Did the irony escape anyone, of having to postpone 4th July celebrations because of the heatwave which was, of course nothing to do with Climate Change.

No, nor did I overlook the fact that wildfires are burning throughout this fair land.

Guess the fat oaf will implement tariffs against all the states with wildfires burning.

That jerkoff has his head so far up his ass he thinks it's always night time.

Funny how all these wildfires happen almost if not every summer now whereas they were not nearly as commoon last century.

And the reason is... those "negligent Canadians."

This is the kind of "leader" we get when greed trumps reality.

Well they are coming from Canada and due to bad forrest management practices.

What on earth would forrest fired have to do with climate change?

If climate change results in drier, hotter conditions, then that would increase the likelihood and severity of forest fires. I really had to type that?

It is quite clear that SOMETHING has changed, and rather quickly.

There are a lot more wildfires in North America this century than there were last century.

And it is more than "bad forest management practices" as claimed by the fat oaf: that citified clown wouldn't know a forest from a tree.

Most Americans agree with me; see: https://www.yahoo.com/news/science/articles/majority-us-voters-extreme-weather-110026917.html

But I keep getting told climate change was leading to more storms and such, making things wetter?

Seriously, it is bad forest management. Not enough clear-cutting. Not enough small fires.

That's why the US Park Rangers have a "let it burn" policy. Gets rid of the kindling in small fires so not as many big ones.

We have more trees than we had 100 years ago for starters. No idea where you are getting the "a lot more fires" figures. One thing we have is more development in wooded areas, which makes us notice it more.

As to oafs, I doubt you know much about forest management yourself.

Differing kinds and age of trees and differing kinds of woodland habitat from from 100 years ago

Please enlighten us about your formal education and experience with forest management. Inquiring minds want to know!

Earth to Duffman...earth to Duffman...

We are seeing more wildfires this century than last: no question about it.

You blame it on "bad forest management" but the wildfires are in many areas with little or no history of forest management, especially the boreal forests of Canada.

Lots of wildfires now in the southern US this century too, and that used to be almost unheard of.

Please explain, Oh Guru of the Forests, how this is happening WITHOUT climate change, most especially in boreal forests of Canada?

Clue: because "for whatever reason" the climate is changing: drier, hotter conditions.

Prove me wrong...
