The immediate reaction in the Middle East to the creation of Israel was unanimous rejection, intense widespread protests, and immediate military mobilization by Arab nations.

Why does that sound so much like current conservative Republicans who hate foreigners who are not assimilating. Won't adopt the culture? Won't speak English. Bring different religions.

I agree the founding of Israel is problematic, and probably should not have occured at least in the way that it did. But, it exists now. And, many countries were founded on lies and bloodshed, granted, this was more modern than most.

That being said, focusing on racial groups who use welfare more than others in a dangerous path. If there is welfare abuse, crack down on it and prosecutes as applicable. But, don't focus on people by race.

But, yes, tax the rich. This has no relations to Jewish people though...

I expect all able-bodied people to support themselves
Chinese Americans if able-bodied should support themselves and do
Why can't hasidic jews do the same
Do they have an exception???????
This is just common sense. Not racist at all
I'm an atheist
Believe what you want, just support yourself
Common sense

Does every Hasidic Jew collect welfare? Or is it just some like all communities.

I don't love people who abuse welfare. But, like I tell righties, corporate welfare abuse costs so much more than human level welfare abuse, even in abuse cases, I rarely care (unless it is an organization systemically abusing the system.)

Republicans like to beat down on small time crooks as the worst scourge of society.

Quote:
Corporate fraud costs significantly more than welfare fraud, both in total financial losses and in the overall economic burden placed on citizens. While welfare fraud targets government assistance programs like SNAP or Medicaid, corporate fraud impacts public markets, private enterprise revenues, consumer prices, and tax systems.

The financial scale of corporate misconduct vastly outpaces the losses seen in social safety net programs.

Financial Cost ComparisonCorporate Fraud: The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) consistently estimates that the typical organization loses 5% of its annual revenue to occupational and corporate fraud. Scaled across the global and U.S. economies, this translates to trillions of dollars annually. Additionally, corporate tax evasion and financial statement manipulation cost governments and shareholders hundreds of billions more each year.

Brooklyn coffee shop refuses to serve Jewish Congressman known for being pro Israel. Mamdani given opportunity to respond. ‘No comment’. Democrat primary features ‘regular’ Democrat and far left candidate who has stated ‘Israel should not exist’. Mamdani endorses the latter.
It must be a joy being a Jew in NYC now.

Was he denied service over his religion, or his political position? News reports indicate the merchant denied service over his political position. If that was the case, how is that different than a merchant denying service to homosexuals, which is protected by legal precedent?

Dude lost in the primary anyway.

But,as SooPoo says, life goes on.

A lot of Hasidic jews collect welfare
Its organized fraud
The religion instructs their members to not work
The religion instructs their members to study religion all day instead of being productive
Their religion instructs them to raise their children in poverty making the state pay for everything
Its honestly disgusting to purposefully raising children in poverty due to religion
GET A JOB. SUPPORT YOUR CHILDREN. Give them the education needed to succeed

Are Mandami and AOC going to be the face of the democratic party?

He endorsed three congressional candidates and they all won.

Many people love the guy and his message that gov't needs to focus on the needs of the working people.

BUT (and it's big but) democratic socialism will be a difficult, nay impossible sell outside of NYC and other major cities.

They are the face of the Democratic party in New York
Nationwide, No.
As to the congressional races
Would they have won anyway if Mandami stayed out?

Yes, those who resist change are doing all in their power to delay what is inevitable.

This too shall pass.
